Don't agree about O'Hara and I think you seriously underestimate his qualities as a CM. Although the Hudd has better technique, O'Hara is a more intelligent player (with a hungrier attitude) and plays the short pass and move game better than the Hudd who goes long a bit too often for my liking and ends up conceding possession- we retain the ball better with O'Hara. That said if Jenas can't play then either one will do for me and I rate them more highly than Lucas.

Agree with this, think he'll play...

I can't for a moment agree that O'Hara is a more intelligent player. And as for keeping the game going, I think he looks lost and nervous when on the ball.

Hungrier, yes he may well be (though you never know how, mental attitude is something that can change and develop so lets see Huddlestone now before judging how hungry he is).

gues it'll be between thudd and o'hara to step in IF jenas misses out.

I'd like Harry to give one of the fringe members of the squad a chance. I hear this Modric guy might be decent. Perhaps play him

Seriously though, why do people refuse to entertain the idea of Modric in the centre (where he's best!)? It's like people who continue to insist that Bale is a left back and not a winger

Play Luka in the middle and someone else on the left. Someone like Lennon. Play Bentley or Naughton on the right. Then we've got 11 good players rather that playing someone simply because they've played CM a few times.

If JJ is out we can't win :duh:

:stupid:

this is jermaine jenas you are talking about ... he is hardly a match winning
tough tackilng box to box creative superstar midfielder , we can and will survive without him , when he plays we lack creativity in the midfield
he is not important to dominating a midfield like palacios is
hudd or o'hara have both looked good pre season
give them a chance, they both have aspects of there game that are stronger than jj's , passing and creating for the hudd and tough tackling for o'hara
only jj beats them on pace .... its no good having pace if you aint got the technique or brain to go with it

have faith in the 11 harry picks

isnt aurelio out?

also IF modric was to play in the centre, it would mean o'hara LM which is a disaster

I don't rate him particularly highly but he does work well with Palacios.

Main problem is that both Hudd and O'Hara are slow which will give Liverpool plenty of time to pass the ball around. You need to be snapping at their heels.

I'm glad that Harry picks the team instead of Ginol@14 I have to say.

Hudd and O'Hara are both good players but if you can't see what JJ offers that they don't then we must be watching very different Spurs teams.

With JJ out I don't think we have a hope in getting all of the points.

i think the best defense may be offense and we should just thrpw the kitchen sink at them. If the sink was made out of skill:

----------Defoe------Crouch---------
GDS----Modric----Palacios---Lennon
BAE-----King-------Baz--------Corky
--------------Gomes------------------

Gerrard, Skrtel and Carragher are all going to lack sharpness having been injured, especially the two centre backs. That coupled with the fact that Mascherano's midfield partner will most likely be Lucas gives me a lot of confidence.

i think you might be basing oharas play from when he has played on the left wing and left back, he has hardly ever started in CM but when he has he has played pretty well. I think he could harass the liverpool team well and help palacios out so that modric and lennon can play their own game and attack the weakened defence they have. Hudd i like but he will probably get caught out by Mascherano and lucas to often. WHo knows though he might play a blinder , all i care is we win.

Yeah if he goes with O'Hara in the centre we should be better defensively and he'll help Wilson out or if we go with Hudd our strikers will be happier but Wilson could be over worked. Good job we've Harry to make the call.

Rather ironic given your tedious and endless criticism of Jenas.

bit like everyone that constantly criticise robbie keane eh !
even though he has scored over 100 goals for our club

i hope keano starts and i hope he scores as for jj to say we cant win without him is retarded ... i was merely pointing out that some of you have him down as some demi-god ... he aint all that and we can and will win without him.

if jj isn't fit then i think luka in the middle with lennon and bentley on the flanks.

lets face it, we have to be happy with a draw as pool are a top class outfit and will dominate large periods of the game.

I will say it again I cannot see anything other the Keane and Defoe starting upfront with Crouch to come on later.

Do i agree with it? No but I just can't see him dropping the captain of the team for the first game.

i can or at least not playing Defoe, i think there more of a chance of defoe starting than keane, how will defoe score a load if he is on the bench.

He's only just scored over 100 career goals. I'm sure he scored quiet a few of those for other teams.
