Lloris - Walker-Peters, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies - Winks, Sissoko - Eriksen, Lucas - Son

Subs: Gazzaniga, Trippier, Rose, Foyth, Wanyama, Dele, Skipp

Would rather see someone like Roles/Parrott on the bench but I think we just have enough players higher in the pecking order. Maybe even give Victor a start.

Edit: Totally forgot about Nando :D. Means Skipp out of the squad and Llorente maybe even a start.

Pleased to see there seems to be a real concensus on playing Fernando Llorente, I support that wholeheartedly, I'd also give Kyle Walker Peters a run out, if we can't rest a few in this game then we really aren't as good as we think we are.

Lloris
KWP
Sanchez
Verts
Davies
Wanyama
Skip
Lucas
Eriksen
Son
Llorente

Honestly can't see Vertonghen having to do too much work so it's Eriksen and Son I'd like to rest so if we can then take them off well before the end.

After seeing the team news and with City in mind I think we will see...

Lloris
Foyth Sanchez Vertonghen
KWP Sissoko Wanyama Davies
Moura Eriksen
Son

Subs: Gazza, Toby, Trippier, Rose, Skipp, Winks, Llorente.

Squad is certainly stretched again with very limited options on the bench!

Would give KWP minutes instead of Tripp if both Wanyama & Sissoko are in the team. Sissoko can help cover the right side of the pitch and give KWP some backup.

Surely we will not be going with 3 at the back for at home to Huddersfield. Plus I'm not buying the whole 'but it's not defensive as our wingbacks provide width and attack' because our fullbacks don't compensate for lack of another midfielder/attacker at all.

I think our lack of attacking options will force Poch's hand to revert to a back three. If we drop a defender and play Llorente we will not have a single senior attacker on the bench to change it if we need.

It will be a massive mistake to rotate too much, besides we haven’t got too many players to rotate into the team!

Reading Poch's comments, I think we will see quite a lot of rotation for this one. The problem is that, contrary to what he said we don't currently have a strong squad with Kane, dele, Dier, Lamela, Aurier all injured. Im struggling to see how he is going to be able to give some rest to Eriksen .

Just had a little look back, I think we'll see similar to the team who beat Leicester a couple of months ago.

Midfield trio of Winks, Skipp and Sissoko with Eriksen ahead and Llorente and Son up front.

if we don't win on saturday it'll suck any positive vibes out of the squad for next week. its vital we win

It’s also important to boost our goal difference as there’s a bloody good chance 3rd and 4th will come down GD with everyone being so close together on points. Shock and awe is the way to go, blow them out of the water then rest players in the 2nd half.

I'm gonna get slaughtered for this but here goes anyway.
The new stadium, one thing that irked me was our fans singing about Arsenal.
We're in a new stadium playing our first game and then in a CL quarter final in this new stadium and on both occasions we seem preoccupied with those pricks up the road!!!
It seemed a bit like small time mentality to me and a lack of imagination.
Can we find something to sing about for our team rather than thinking about those arseholes please?
If we were playing them then no problem but we weren't.
As annoying as the shit song.

This team is balanced with first team players and reserve players, should do the job and win by a big margin so we can improve our goal difference

Rest Alderweireld he deserves it and Parrott should be on the bench since Kane, Janssen, Alli and Lamela are injured

Take this game lightly, its only Huddersfield we can rest players and play whoever wherever, and we'll have egg on our face.
I'm not having us dropping points at home in our new sparkly stadium to fkin Huddersfield. And ruining my whole weekend. Not happening.
Get it done Spurs.

I am a bit concerned that neither Moura nor Son really play to Llorentes strengths, whipping crosses in.
Just hope he can hold it up and thread a few balls through.

And I want to see Moura stop being a greedy bastard and pass the ball a bit more instead of trying to take on 4 players.

Remember the excuse trotted out for a recent bad result? Too much time between games, we play better when games come frequently etc

I’d only rotate the full backs. We need Rose and Trippier for City

God I hope not.
Moura will have a good game against this defence I think, if he passes lol.
Huddersfield arent in the same league as Leicester, well, not for much longer anyway lol but we need our best players out there today. We just cannot risk slipping up at the business end of the season.
