This is probably one of the biggest games Tottenham has played in many many years.

Vs. Inter, current winners of Champions League, at San Siro, in an important Champions league match.

This is what it's all about, what last season really gave us.

King is out, VDV is suspended but I'd expect Kaboul to be fit again.

--------------------------------Gomes
Hutton-----------Kaboul------------Gallas----------Benny
-------------Huddlestone----------Jenas
Lennon-----------------Modric----------------Bale
------------------------------Crouch

Subs: Cudicini, Bassong, Corluka, Palacios, Kranjcar, Giovani, Pav.

Same team as the breastmeister but I'd play Bassong instead of Kaboul. I think Seb, bar one error against Villa, has shown he can step into our defence and do a job whereas Kaboul may not be fully fit.

GOMES
KABOUL GALLAS BASSONG ASSOU-EKOTTO
LENNON HUDDLESTONE JENAS BALE
KRANJCAR
CROUCH

Subs: Cudicini, Corluka, Palacios, Modric, Giovani, Pavlyuchenko Keane

Reserve: Hutton

OUT: King, Dawson, Woodgate, Sandro, O'Hara, Van Der Vaart, Defoe

Slightly controversial dropping Luka but I think Krancjar will play that role off Crouch better

I really think we should play Kranjcar there too, would somewhat prefer Modric in Jenas slot and think it could be time for Corluka at RB again but Kaboul would be fine (indifferent about whether Kaboul or Bassong starts at CB)

One bad game and drop him against Inter?? Fucking hell.

Id go with

Gomes

Kaboul(Corluka if not fit)
Gallas
Bassong
Ekotto

Lennon
Huddlestone
Jenas
Modric
Bale

Crouch

Proper 5 man midfield, with hopefully an on form Bale and Lennon doing damage from wings, what with their nutter full backs forgetting they have defensive duties aswell. Crouch to tower a hearder in, JJ Hudd and Luka hopefully flood that midfield

Remember a point will be awesome

Subs: Cudicini, Kaboul, Palacios, Jenas, Kranjcar, Dos Santos, Keane

You may think I'm mental with a 4-4-2, two attacking wide midfielders and no traditional anchorman in the centre. The way I see this game, we're not meant to get anything out of it. I imagine Inter will be expecting us to park the bus. The only way I can see us getting anything from the game is by taking it to them, hence this line up.

I didn't include modric because I've chosen 3 midfield players who i feel will serve us better away from home defensively, nothing to do with modric's form today.

so stop being asses and accept other peoples opinions on an internet forum or debate it instead of acting like an ignorant whore

I more than accept your opinion, I jut disagree with it, massively.

We need his intelligence, passing and movement to keep the ball and use it well Vs Inter, that's the main reason I would pick him every time. He's the type of player that gets us playing, keeps us ticking and moving and weare going to need that more than ever against Inter.

Also Modric should get a bit more space in this game as there always tends to be a bit more room in European games. Should suit the likes of Modric and Hudd.

Modders hasn't played well in a couple of games recently but he's got enough quality for us to realise that it's just a temporary blip rather than anything else.

Agree and it is total madness to drop a player who will help us retain the football.

Obviously we will have to do very well from a defensive point of view to get anything but Crouch, Jenas and Modric are the key men for me in this one. JJ has done well lately so hopefully his good form continues and we will need his energy big time. Crouchy needs to do his job well and we need Modric's intelligence and craft on show. Hudd also but he's been consistently good for so long now I just expect more of the same.

But as a team we will have to work our nuts off.

Best players.. in their best positions please.

Gomes
Kaboul Gallas Bassong Ekotto
Lennon Huddlestone Modric Bale
Kranjcar
Crouch

Kranjcar straight swap for VDV. Crouch must play in the CL. And that's definitely our best midfield atm.

The only position which is difficult to decide on is RB... Kaboul vs. Hutton. I'd give Kaboul a chance. He's been excellent for us at both CB and RB and Hutton worries me sometimes.

Edit: Just realized that that's an all French speaking back four too, which can only help with marking, positioning and communication.
