Will never happen but surely Kane and Dier have to be rested here...surely?

Actually you got there first by a minute, still no doubt they'll be merged. For me there is no reason not to rotate as much as possible here. I can understand why Poch has played strong teams thus far, considering how tight the group has been, but having now secured a place in the knockout stage we absolutely need to give the likes of Kane, Dier, and Eriksen a rest. We were surprisingly lethargic today, which does not bode well with the holiday period on the horizon. The difference between winning the group and coming in second is not valuable enough to justify running our first XI into the ground any further.
With Bentaleb and Chadli nearly back in training at the end of last week hopefully we'll see them back in contention here, although it is probably too soon for either. Townsend seems to have gotten himself back in Poch's good graces, so I don't see why he shouldn't be brought back into the fold, even if only for the purpose of putting him the shop window.

If we don't win the group, do we get drawn against the Champions League dropouts in the next round?
