I agree with most posts on the inadequacy of Davies at wingback, however he does have experience in a back 3 for Wales. I'd go for this.
Lloris
Dier Aldervierweld Davies
Walker Wanyama Winks Vertonghen
Eriksen Dele
Kane

Verts can dribble and drive with the ball and link up play.

This is what I'd wish to see rather than what I think the line-up will actually be. I think Davies is suited better to a 4 man defence and believe that Kane is being too isolated in recent games so I have partnered him with Janssen. Also, in my opinion, Janssen's physical qualities can be useful against a physical team like Stoke and I'm dying to see what he can provide in a strong line-up. (4-4-2 Diamond):
Lloris
Walker - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Davies
Wanyama
Dembele - Alli
Eriksen
Kane - Janssen

Expect him to stick by Dier

So same as Gent but with Dele on the naughty step replaced by Son, who gave Stoke the willlies in the return fixture

Wanyama dropping in to make a back three when needed. Think jan more solid than Davies and, given Davies playing within himself, more dangerous

Agree with Dier, but poch doesn't drop players for a red card, he makes them prove it on the pitch

Re Alli v Son, I would like him to give Son a go, his pace would be on the Stoke defenders minds, they're a bit slow on the turn

But reckon he will probably stick with Dele, but is the arm round the shoulder/go out and prove em wrong approach working? On the evidence of the other night, no. Pretty mild provocation brought the red mist down.

This is a bloody tough game after playing 65 mins with 10 men. Whoever gets picked hope they have a strong mentality let alone a tough resilience to battle the potters. COYS

People do realise the wing back still has defensive duties right? It's not just a deeper winger. It would be suicide playing Son there.

I'd swap out Walker, Dier and Dembele just to freshen it up after what must have been a draining night Thursday:

Lloris

Trippier
Toby
Jan
Davies

Wanyama
Winks

Eriksen
Alli
Son

Kane

65 minutes? I think you're counting the half-time interval...

This. It's one thing when we're up against Gent who are sitting back in their own half defending a lead. It's another against a decent Premier League side. Reckon we'll have to go back to a four man defence again.

Lloris

Toby Wimmer Verts

Trippier Wanyama Dembele Walker

Eriksen Dele

Kane

Subs : Vorm, Davies, Dier, Winks, GKN, Son, Janssen

We need to keep 3-4-3, I don't see why Walker can't play there and have Trippier on the right for his delivery. If Rose was fit id of played Winks instead of Wanyama but with an unfamiliar LWB I'd go with the extra defensive cover
