My team would be....

Lloris

Dier
Fazio
Verts
Rose

Capoue
Stambouli

Lamela
Eriksen
Chadli

Ade

But I think we'll see...

Lloris

Naughton
Kaboul
Verts
Rose

Capoue
Bentaleb

Lamela
Eriksen
Chadli

Ade.

Reckon loch will put the new boys, fazio and stambouli, on the bench.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop them straight in. Poch isn't fucking about. Dier went straight in, can see Poch seeing Sunderland as a perfect chance to drop the two new lads in, let them get their shits kicked in and have them see what the PL is all about.

Dier I think needed to be put straight in, Verts wasn't match fit and obviously just left Dawson to partner kaboul which he obviously didn't wanna do and then had to play Dier at right back against qpr as both Kyle's were out. We have quite a few central midfielders so it's not like we're lacking in that department. Most likely out of the two I can see starting is fazio.

Well if Cattermole is playing then Stambouli will need to pick up the physical side of things in the middle of the pitch quickly. That guy takes no prisoners.

It will be interesting to see how Poch reacts to the loss. Will he stay true to the starting line-up and ask them to rise and prove to everyone ? Or will he tinker with a couple of positions ?
Positions at risk imo are Naughton for Dier and Davies for Rose. Kane might push Chadli for a start.
Can't see Stambouili starting yet nor Fazio.

I'm sticking with the same 11 as last game.
Lloris, Dier, Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose, Capoue, Bentaleb, Lamela, Eriksen, Chadli and Adebayor.

We have to win this one not the time for being nice to the new ones.
Notts forest gives the opportunity to play a lot of new players even the likes of Ceballos.

I just hope Lamela won't be pushed around by Cattermole. Perfect game to show that he's learnt to adapt with the physical aspect of the English game.

Tinkering because we lost would only make sense if we were playing Liverpool again. Sunderland are a different opposition so play the same team for continuity, injury permitting of course. However if tinkering for other reasons, fair enough

Recent lineups:

west brom 2-2 sunderland
Sunderland (4-1-4-1):
Mannone,
Roberge, Brown, O’Shea, Van Aanholt,
Cattermole
Johnson, Larsson, Rodwell, Wickham,
Fletcher.

Sunderland 1-1 Man U
(Unsure of formation / positions)
Mannone
Vergini Brown O'Shea van Aanholt
Buckley Rodwell Cattermole Larsson
Fletcher Wickham

Sounds like cattermoles pressing & dominance earned him a motm award and Buckleys pace from wide caused some problems.

Qpr 1 - 0 Sunderland
Vito Mannone
Vergini O'She Brown Van Aanholt
Larsson Cattermole Rodwell Johnson
Fletcher Wickham

Not sure on positions and formations but these were the respective starting lineups

Lloris

Dier Fazio Vertonghen Rose

Dembele Paulinho

Lamela Eriksen Chadli

Soldado
I'd like to see those front 6 players all together for a single game. I think they'd create loads of goal scoring chances and Sunderland's midfield isn't that great.

Put Capoue for Dembele and Chiriches for Fazio and we would have the "infamous" seven starting together for the first time ........I think.

I've got a feeling this is going to be a tight boring game. I think it will be goalless draw.

Not with poch holding the reigns. And some players still haven't properly arrived yet.

Quite an oblique comparison to make.

No matter how good a manager Poch is, there is no way he can get these players/team anywhere near the standard of the Rafa, Modric and Bale team.

Might as well throw Fazio in at the deep end, whatever people think about Fletcher-he will be a real test and proper introduction to English football with his aerial ability and willingness to be physical in his hold up play.

Would be good to see how our new commanding CB looks.

I thought Fasio and Benji were bright because pooch thought they were better than what we had? If so they should play if fit.
