I would take Bentaleb over Carroll any day of the week, and I am not even one of his biggest fans

Confidence...Caroll scored in Monoco game few games back, now he scored his first PL goal. Things havent gone his way, but looking at him play yesterday showed me he has the self belief & confidence. Nothing against Bentaleb - but if it were up to me, I would chose Caroll over Nabil as of now

Watford have lost 5 games - all 5 to the teams above them in the league (City,United,Arsenal,Leicester,Palace) - which says to me that while as good as they have been, they still lose to the superior teams (in form teams). Hopefully the trend continues.

Watford had a tough game at Chelsea yesterday. Unlike us, they have always had the luxury of having 7 days for preparing for games. So am hoping, 2 games in 3 days should be taxing for them and tire them out

Dier IMO has to man mark Deeney & compete for aerial challenges. If he can keep Deeney quiet, we can win this.

Wish we had Robbo available for this one. If it ends up being a tight game where Kane is constantly double- or triple-marked, I'd back Robbo to find the net and make the breakthrough for us against Watford.

Never had Watford down as flat track bullies but that's what they are!

Watford's pitch is a bit of a state, very tough to play a quick passing game on it as Liverpool found out. For that reason I would opt for Bentaleb over Carroll if there is a choice to be made.

Also if there is any fatigue in the Watford team I'd put our most athletic players out there to try and exploit it, though I accept keeping the ball is another possible method of wearing them out.

It's always been shit. I played on it once In the cup years back - literally Sunday league stuff.

Big game today! COYS! I wouldn't be against resting Alli in this one.

Son for eriksen please, might need to pass a bit longer if the pitch is a prob, son makes good runs and hopefully toby can pick him out

Eriksen wants it to feet, might not suit conditions and opposition

No way would I ever drop players for the sake of dropping players. A winning team should always be kept together. Winning is a habit, so there's no point in breaking it yourself without any help from the opposition.

" If Dembele is OK give him a place on the bench" no...if he's OK he goes into the team, surely.

Sorry, I just don't understand your reasoning.

You got it now?

Erm...no. For me, if he's fit, he plays and if he's not, he doesn't. Sorry, I have a feeling I'm not getting you.

The answer to fitness is not only yes or no. As lots of people on here mentioned it is a fuckin risk to play Dembele twice in three days. He is often rested in midweek and I guess there is a reason behind it. It didn't mean he gets injured for sure, but Mousas recent fitness history simply shows it was a big risk.
