Livermore? Get real.. He'll get dizzy in the centre. What does he do anyway? Will he cover the CBs? Never seen him do that.. Will he inspire creativity? Don't think I can recall a successful 10-yard+ pass he's ever done.. At least not forward. Will he close their CMs down? He'll try, but Wilshit and Santi will literally spin the feck out of him.

I can't really take anyone suggesting Livermore should start in our NLD seriously.

Seeing how gash Sigurdsson and Holtby have been when starting games for us and Dempsey is injured it's really not the worst idea in the world.

Fuck you man, Livermore has come three times in the last 5 mins when we needed a goal and we won all three

With the news on Defoe, AVB wouldn't start him and Ade up top like earlier in the season when we caused them problems before Ade got sent off? Or drop Ade completely...Surely not, not for this game of all games.

The right call is to start Ade with Defoe on the bench.


Tell you what though, another underwhelming performance and Defoe is straight back in the team for me.

Glad to see DEfoe back - I really do think ADE should be starting this one, I am pretty sure he will be WELL up for this, BUT hope he keeps his head on. Really would like to see BAE LB. The issue that worries me is who will be our CB pairing- CoYS.

There's no way Defoe will start after an injury lay-off. It would be totally against the consistent approach AVB has taken so far this season. He will have to play his way back in from the bench.

i.e. using Livermore purely as a destroyer and giving Dembele orders to get down the left wing when he wants to. Funnily enough, when we signed Dembele I said that I would happily see him played on either wing.​

Yup, but I think it should be Siggy for Holtby. He's been unlucky and a bit short of confidence this season, and after a great cameo last night we need to build up his momentum as he can be a great asset for the run-in. If AVB's selection is merit based, that's what he'll go for, and while I do perhaps find Holtby the better player I also think he could do great as a sub for the last 30 or so - like in his first match..

I think holtbys position at AM would also help break carloza and Wiltshire from deep. Sigarooni would be slightly luxury on Sunday IMO. Not to say his flair and forward thinking ability won't be a valid at some point in the game. But I would aim to nullify
