Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a touch more cautious with this fixture, given where we are in the table.

Plus, we have the injury list from hell.

I hope he doesn’t start Benta. No point in endangering a player that has probably come back a couple weeks earlier than required, because of the aforementioned handicap.

As much as I’d love for us to make a run at the FA Cup this year, we also have to think long term about the potential of finishing in the top 5.

That said, many have been itching for him to give a few of the kids a go… maybe this is the game he will start Phillips or Dorrington. Give Donley some minutes too.

Give the full backs a break they've run themselves ragged, Emerson and Davies should be ok given they've had to do less leg work at centre half.

As others have stated, I'll be gobsmacked if he goes anything less than full strength, he hopefully learnt a lesson away at Fulham and won't want to do that again. Plus we then have a break for 9 days when we play UTD before a break of 17 days before we play Brentford. It's not completely out of the question that VdV returns for the Burnley game but I'd presume he would at most be on the bench. Maddison has a chance at returning for UTD and I'd imagine we will definitely have a CB in for that game also.
