For the away game i'd expect to see defoe used - no issue with him getting a niggle now is there! I would not take too much out there howvere Walker might have to go to keep pace with their winger chap that didn't become a scouser last week

I think we should try and win but our best bet is to rest a few for this one, try and keep it tight and then win it back at the lane

It's a balance of keeping the rhythm going, and resting those that need it. Dnipro are no mugs, so a solid team is required in the first leg. A mix of first, backup and youth for the squad. I think leave behind only Kaboul and Adebayor. Everyone should be ok to play.

Judging by the fact Dembele always looks injured and came off the other day he may not play next PL game so could save Eriksen for then. With that in mind and providing Sandro is fit enough Id go:

Paulinho is still coming back and not quite on form and needs minutes. Kane needs to be given game time, makes no sense playing Defoe over him, with him going - Kane is the future.

Defence should do enough. Veljkovic has been playing more regularly as DM in recent times, but that defence should def suffice especially with Sandro covering.

May not be favourable but I just don't see Siggy being that involved for us anymore, I think Kane can do anything he can, so would rather have Townsend and Chadli on the wing. Gives an opportunity for a lot of injured players to come back.

Additionally I think Tim should take this seriously. We have such a big squad he can play them and introduce the youngsters who he genuinely thinks can play. I know he said the aim is Top 4, but if he won the Europa that can't be sniffed at. Would love him for it

LOL changed.Do those questioning the inclusion of youth, I want this trophy. Fact is Vertonghen is just back from injury as is Kaboul. While there's still a chance we can get 4th atm I would save Kaboul 100% and would advise against playing Vertonghen. Veljkoic is a good defender. Alternatively, you could put Capoue at CB, play Veljkovc DM, and save Sandro for the league match as a DM.

Kane is good enough and will be hungrier than Defoe

Reckon we might see something like that. Struggling for the 2nd centre back. We may see Vertonghen play there. Very hard to predict a team when we have no idea how seriously Sherwood will take it.

I hope we take this seriously cause I'd love a trophy this season. Having said that, I think this game should be won in the second leg. I think we can afford to send out the fringe players for the away game and then, depending on how that match pans out start a better team in the return fixture.
