£10m is a good price, but then what is his wage?

Adebayor and Tevez cost £72m between them and have been sold for £15m....

That's the over the counter price though, I'm expecting a Juve player to go the other way at a slightly dubious price.

Also if he's homesick how does moving to Italy help?

Looks like a bargain at that price, though his wages will be astronomical and I'm sure there must be massive add-ons.

Really?! .... Buffon is still one of the best in the world imo, don't see too much Italian football, but at every international tournament he seems as commanding as ever.

Maybe i'm wrong but from what i've seen I haven't been overly impressed, used to be a great keeper but I haven't seen him perform to the same standards recently.

Hmmmm, the gloomy cloud that has hung over the UK for the last god knows how long or anywhere else...
I'd take less money just to get out of here!

It strikes me that its possible that the only way Tevez and City could reach some sort of agreement when he fled to Argentina was something along the lines of.....

'We won't let you go on a free, and your behaviour is in danger of making you unsellable which is bad for us and also your career if you want to have a chance of moving to another good club. Here's what we'll do - come back and knuckle down for the rest of this season and next, then we will allow you to go for a decent price to the first big foreign club that comes in for you that you want to go to'

Just hypothesising, but that's how it reads to me.

Would Juve have paid 10m and biiiiig wages for Tevez without the last 18 months good behaviour ? Prob not

Would City have been able to find a club who would pay any money for a permanent plus fork out wages big enough to get Tevez to go, when Tevez was refusing to come off a bench and fleeing to Argentina ? Prob not

We should have stuck in a cheeky bid at that price.

OMG really cant believe he has gone for that cheap.
Tevez is a great player and his seems like a fantastic deal for Juve on the face of it, and you wonder whether we should've tried for him. But it's doubtful that Citeh would have sold him to us at that price - if at all - and whether he wants to stay in England. Then there are the (doubtless huge) wages to consider, as well as the fact that Mr. Tevez doesn't have a reputation as being the ideal club man or teammate.

All things considered, probably best swerved.

You can get out any time you like if somewhere else will take you. If you feel that strongly about it then just do it.

There has got to be a time when as a multimillionaire you must think to yourself 'what am I doing here in Manchester get me out of here'!

I'm not, unless they want one of Juve's fringe players like Isla, Padoin or Peluso which I very much doubt. Juve are trying to enforce the fact that they're not a selling club by building a strong team. Already told Real to fuck off numerous times over Vidal.

I'm guessing he'll find Italian life more to his tastes. Language won't be as much a problem, Argentinian Spanish is very similar to Italian due to the massive amount of Italians living there, it's the 2nd biggest language in that country and I'm sure Tevez won't have problems with it.

Can't wait to see him partner alongside Llorente next year! Forza Juve! :D

Earns around £14m a year. So if he's on a 4-year deal at Juve, they've committed almost £68m on him. Still look like a bargain?

I don't buy that, Juve won't be paying well over £200k pw in wages. The reports in Italy suggest he's on 5.5mil Euros a year. That's sounds more like Juve's wage budget. They don't spend as much as Inter and Milan do on wages, or on transfer fees.

Edit: If what I've heard is true, then at a package worth 34 million Euros over 4 years is indeed a bargain.

I thought the reason Juve are signing the likes of Tevez and Llorente is because they've had an injection of cash? Either way, he won't be going there for less than half what he's getting at Citeh.

You're probably right there, but I reckon he's probably agreed to go for less than what he picks up at Citeh. He may have better bonuses to make up for it.

Juve haven't really had an injection of cash, they just don't like to spend big. Also, they're still repaying off the stadium, but that should pay for itself soon enough. Getting back to winning ways has certainly helped.
