I cba to scroll back. Whats 1882's view of flares? Or do they prefer bootcut? ha no seriously, is this a british ultras type movement, flares and big old flags en all?

Really need to get down to a few of the meets, might give up most league games and go with you lads instead + away days.

Scratch that question about flares, just read up on the website. I suppose an organisation of any kind can never condone it.

Just a simple question to answer your apparently supercilious response my friend

But it wasn't just a simple question, as you well know.

"Shiny, happy people"? "Great leader"?

Barely concealed cynicism and contempt. There speaks a story. I was only asking what that story was.

1882, and the atmosphere in general, got a good mention in this morning's Daily Mail:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ise-Hull-Andre-Villas-Boas-rallying-call.html

The loudest cheer of the night was actually the 112 decibels that saluted a stupendous strike from Gylfi Sigurdsson 16 minutes in. The sound that will endure was the sustained roar that swept around the old stadium as Brad Friedel’s knees blocked the final penalty at the end of a gut-wrenching shootout.

The Hull fans may have sung all night, but it was their Tottenham counterparts who warbled their larynxes longest.

It was a curious night on which to judge the reaction to AVB’s assertion his players find more fire playing away

This cup-tie had been earmarked for noise by Tottenham supporters in the 1882 Movement (named after the year of the club’s foundation) and a podcast gang called the ‘Fighting Cock’.

Their attempts to cajole the rest of the faithful into a communal sing-song met with an inconsistent response, meaning that most of the chanting came from a pocket of noise in one corner of the Lane.

The East Stand, Block J, to be precise with its many 1882 members.

One fan said before kick-off: ‘Under Harry, the team used to start really fast in home games. They start off slower now and play really narrow so it’s not as exciting.’

Just as well, then, that Harry Kane’s equaliser rescued a losing cause deep into extra time and turned a gathering groan into a final joyous yell.

Now that’s worth shouting about.

Also two good photos on the website!

If you've already made your mind up regarding my supposed reason for posting why ask me?

I have only made up my mind as to the nature of your attitude. Not as to the reasons for it.

Your reference to 1882 was thick with condescension and contempt. You made no attempt to hide it.

I'm simply interested to ascertain why you feel that way about them.

They are too noisy and keep taking their shoes off. Dreadful behaviour. ;)
