He is under investigation for causing the Webber-Liutzi(sp?) crash under safety car conditions for apparently driving dangerously by speeding up then slowing down massively.
Apparently there is a regulation which says that the lead car has to be five meters behind the safety car too, though when that came in I don't have a clue.
Possible punishments if found guilty anyway are:-
-Removal of points won at Mt Fuji
-Suspension
-Grid penalty in China
Knowing how they love to hammer McLaren this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he got two of those three thrown at him. I believe he can be fined too.
What i cant understand is that cars have fallen behind the safty car for years, and do what Hamilton does all the time. Might not be to the degree of Hamilton, but its just getting boring now. They have already handed one title to Ferrari and im sure they are looking to do the same again.
Aye saw it on my Vista Sky news ticker thing. Rightly so too!
Why should he be blamed if the other drivers don't react to what he does in time to prevent a crash? Under racing conditions he wouldn't be, why should it be any different under the safety car?
Apologies also, it was Webber and Vittel, not Webber and Liutzi!
Not sure Webber would to be honest with you, he was extremely pissed off, but more with Vittel than with Hamilton, at least initially! Swore live on air and it was only around 7am!
