I guess this is the hard bit of any player acquisition. It’s just if you look at some of our best players (Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Jan, Tobi, Dier) they didn’t cost us very much so sometimes the right player can be a cheaper option but I guess Poch is looking at players who are already established and in their prime, perhaps? I just hope the right player isn’t another Sissoko.

I think it's still all about carefully selecting targets, but the difference being hopefully we nab a few 1st or 2nd choices rather than the usual 4th or 5th. To do so we need to be 'brave' and take risks like Poch said.

Its like comparing City to Utd in recent years. They've identified and bought young top prospects, paying over the odds to seal the deal. Whereas Utd have just bought whatever big names the super agents have offered them.

Guessing that's what @Hercules means by both too...

Sun exclusive. Chelsea want Poch

Knew they'd jump on that with the classic twisting of his recent comments, which even Poch said in the presser were not negative.

Real publications noted the Chelsea interest ages ago. They also said it was deemed a non-starter, less than 5% chance...

No trophy this season again but third in the league is great.
Cheers poch and the team.

Time to look at our plans for the summer. A couple in and a few out and hopefully be better next season.

The one everybody needs to watch - and the one which realistically could happen should Daniel not back the manager financially this summer - is the Juventus job if Allegri goes to Arsenal.

He’s an Argentinian of Turinese ancestry. He was made an honary citizen of Piemonte Virle whilst Tottenham were in Turin for the first leg. He’s quoted as saying that he feels at home in the region.

God, I hope he stays. But, we all know he would do well there.

If you go back to page 205 or so there is a story from a site that has Mark Schwartzer talking about a rumour of Poch to Chelsea, not sure if it's a similar link to Sun story but if you want a read go check it out.

Just seen the cover of the Sun. Utter cockwombles.

Roman to offer Poch 'escape route'. WTF?!

The manager is at loggerheads with Levy over spending too.

The urge in the gutter rags for us to drop back to irrelevance is quite remarkable...

I mean it's The Sun. You read The Sun and got exactly what you asked for.

Yeah would be great if we could get some of Poch’s first choices. Paying over the odds to seal a deal isn’t how the boss man rolls, though.

Actually you could say he did that with Sanchez, tbf.

As an unashamed BSoDL I will be very disappointed and somewhat shocked if Levy doesn't do something special in this single window before the move to our new home.

Why post this drivel? The mind absolutely boggles that some entertain this garbage when you've been specifically told my various ITK's to ignore this absolute shite!

My God....rant over.

In Poch I vehemently Trust (not the Sun)

Allegri is staying. Poch is very proud of his Italian ancestry, but I'm not sure his pressing game is appreciated in Italy. How many Bielsa pupils are in management there?

I hate Ashton and his gormless face. He's Martin Samuel's glove puppet, and Martin Samuel's the young Jaba the Hut in the new Han Solo movie.
