What do you reckon that actually means, though? Key current players signing new contracts, or key transfers in/out ? Or maybe even both?
I think this specifically refers to current players signing new deals. Pretty clear that Levy has been willing to adjust the wage structure - but that certain players were looking for more than just money - they wanted to see a commitment from the club to push on.

Given all of Poch's public statements towards the end of the season, the players like Kane, Eriksen, Dier, et al, know where he stands, and will likely be encouraged by Poch's commitment to the club (and vice versa)

Yeah that's pretty much my thoughts, too. Thanks for the response fella (y)

If he only got Levy to agree to one thing I hope it was increase the players wages. I would prefer that to buying new players because it means we can keep the players we have. Obviously I would like both but all in all a great day and I have to admit I did think he was going.

Say what you will about Levy, but this is Poch's 3rd contract in just under 4 years. Poch also has the current longest continuous tenure of PL managers.*

*Dyche and Howe have been with their clubs longer, but not all of that time in the PL.

Love how this was announced just before 4pm right about the time Jim White was about to start his shift on SSN!!

Would have preferred a proper football man to be given a chance but hey. If his name was Maurice Pearson he wouldn’t have even been given the job.

We will have to wait for October before Samuel Allardyci comes in to take over.

Nike will be furious they were all wearing their old under armour tracksuits for the photo

I thought it must have been an old photo from last season. Surely they wouldn't have done that in UA gear or is that an official photo?
