Definitely seemed like more of an older, more established manager's job pre Zidane, Del Bosque, Capello, Jose, Rafa, Ancelotti. You've forged your career elsewhere and go there for the prestige and money.

Yes, I agree.

As you say, pre Zidane it seemed to be men of a certain age that got the role. As for prestige, maybe, but I can't help but think that brand Real Madrid dents it's image with the constant manager changes.

Leeds have gone through like 20 managers in three weeks. He won't last until Christmas.

my cousin is a dirty Leeds, has been since they used to kick lumps out of the opo. I texted him yesterday saying "great manager, but even the great can't teach shit to move"

He obviously wanted the England job and took his eye off the ball but I never heard any itk or reports of Redknapp not turning up for training

I think he did stop turning up, my mate was meant have a meeting with him it kept getting cancelled as he was not at spurs.

Never let the truth get in the way of a vendetta.
Nah genuinely, in my head one of the very reputable ITKs said he stopped turning up to training. Couldn’t for the life of me tell you who - it’s six years ago! But his style of training was very hands off; he left most of the work with the players to Bond and Jordan. I swear we got ITK that once he was linked with the England job he took it a step further and stopped traveling from his seaside home a good chunk of the time.
