Find out a lot about him today. There’s obviously no doubts about what strengths he has. But in a crucial moment in the season that really defines if rest of season is a title race or top 4 scrap. Does he have what it takes to get us over the line today and the 3 pts. If not it will just be another moment to add the list of failures in crucial moments.
Well, I'm not exactly sure what your point is. I think Poch has taken these relatively young players (most of them) a long way. He has made many of them stars as well (Kane, Alli, Dier etc). If your point is that we need even more top players, you might be right. Or you might be wrong. I'm not sure. The allies wouldn't won the war if it was just moral, spirit and strategy that counted. They won the war because of massive armies and tanks (among others). If you see my point.. Similiar to City today.. ? But if a few players would make us better..? Don'really know. We are playing excellent now. And Pochettino is taking us almost to the top. Can't see any manager who would do it better. And back to the WW2 methaphor.. Would Germany have won if they got a few more divisons at the end.. No. Does that make their generals not capable? Not at all. Would they won with different generals? I doubt it. This is a hard league and there's no easy way and no easy recipe. But, Pochettino is the greatest manager this club has had since I started supporting Spurs in 1989 and this is the greatest Spurs team I've ever seen.

He's going or he's not. But if you need him to hold your hand and tell you everything will be alright, then maybe you need to have more...

After reading JJs comments, the way I see it is, Pochettino is not going to let anything get in the way of what he can achieve with Spurs this season. He will take stock at the end of the season and see what his options are then. Winning a trophy this season may just be enough to keep him here for another 3 or 4 seasons.

It's not really possible for it all to play out in the summer. United will need to know if he's willing to leave us, otherwise they'll have to approach someone else. They will undoubtedly approach him during the season. They probably already have.

Like any other club looking for a manager, there will always be a plan B. C and D in place. Spurs will not allow an approach to be made during the season and I think there is enough trust between Manager and Chairman not to entertain one either. Utd know this which is why they are using ex players etc to do it through media circles.

They'd have already started talking. Nothing the club can do to stop it. Nothing official and he might dismiss it but people will be talking.

Yes. I might be naive, but my hope is that Solskjær continues to win. A situation with great results and confidence in that team, they must be stupid if they don't give him another contract. He's Fergusons puppit and must be great for them. Or maybe I should fear improved ManU results? It might get Poch tempted? But I think Poch wants to stay with us anyway. There's a new world order. ManU is not the future. We seriously are! ?

Useful tool to motivate the players who love him too.

Doesn’t seem to be effecting him, so don’t really care too much.

I will only accept Poch leaving if he:

a) delivers the quadruple

b) cries to the fans whilst singing "Magic" in front of 62k fans in our new stadium

c) punches Martin Tyler in the face

Perhaps we should bring in one he is after in January then. Yeah i know, fat chance but Levy blew it over the summer. He has a chance to try to make it up and it might be the only shot we have at keeping Poch.
Wish there was a boring rating. Honestly man, you need some new material.

JJ then followed up with this....

Well nothing has happened to date apart from the media that I know but if you can somehow break into that group of 4 guys then you will find out what they are thinking !!He is going to manage Real one day in the distant future but I think he wants to create something here first?
I actually think this is a really important point.

I doubt Poch will be making a unilateral decision about whether he'll leave for United, or Madrid for that matter. Wherever he is, Jesus, Miki and Toni will be there as well, and as the people that Poch himself has said that he has a lot of respect for, I think he'll be taking their opinions and desires into account with whatever decision he makes.

Really hope they prefer england to spain.

One thing I will say is that if he stays it’s bloody massive. Surely then Levy would have to repay his loyalty.

Klopp left there after he had done all he could and he was actually struggling.

The time I’m talking about was when he was flying with them and he made it clear he wasn’t going United or anywhere when asked.

Poch is non-commital when asked and offers up pretty weak responses. I’ll be very disappointed if he goes and I won’t have anytime for him whatsoever if that does happen.

All the hype about Poch etc will only intensify as the season goes on. The best way to nip it in the bud is to basically say ‘thanks but not interested’

If he starts commenting on every bit of speculation where does that end? I maybe wrong here but to my current understanding Poch has not been offered the job at Man Utd! Is he going to be linked with it in the media? Yes of course but that is the nature of the beast that is football journalism! Its gutter press and they will run with whatever sells the most because thats where the money is. Gary Neville is a massive Manchester United fan so of course he wants Poch there, he's not an idiot, it makes perfect sense but should he be doing it while calling a Spurs game live on Sky? Absolutely not, its completely unprofessional but we are talking about the Sky who instead of sacking Carragher for spitting at a child got a slap on the wrist. There will always be speculation in football, it comes with the territory. We should all be mature enough to just sit back and enjoy the season because we are playing some of the best football I've seen from a Spurs team and I've been supporting them since 1980. Believe me football is a very fickle mistress and one day we will look back and say "why in the hell did I not just enjoy that season, instead of worrying nonstop about something I had no control over"? Is Poch leaving? I don't know! Do I care? Hell yes! Will I allow the gutter press and pundits to take away my enjoyment of watching my Spurs team win week in week out. Absolutely not!!!

Please everyone enjoy what we are doing and please for the love of God stop talking and worrying about Poch leaving and enjoy this truly remarkable season.

JJ's comments to me are probably the most reasonable path in the future for him. He'll try achieve all in can with Spurs in the next 2/3 years & then if the Real job is still available he'll move on.
