actually i did take into account signings. which is why i (thought) i’d made it clear i was talking about with our current squad ie no signings.

Well can't see it either way, can't see any of those managers getting a tune out of Sissoko for a start or Winks to play up to the level that he's currently at for example.

It's all Poch fault. Starting the season with knackered players and he buys no one. January window everyone is injured and we buy no one and go out of the cups. We have players poor all year and scraped wins. We are getting what we deserve. Tielemams is quality and would if replaced dembele but he said no, what's wrong woth him.

What makes you think he is gone? You think RM because I doubt it will be Manure.
His press conferences, his interviews have changed. His team selection since the morning of the Burnley match have been way off as well. Dunno if you remember the ends of Redknapp or AVB but personally (I sure as hell not speaking for anyone else) it has that vibe. Fans reactions and attitudes are changing toward him as well. Unravelling.

It may well be a rather bad blip - he gets some investment, players he wants and see's it through and all this is the rambling of one fan on a forum.

I think Poch is going through his most difficult moment, I don't want to worry about other job links or where his future is or anything like that I want to focus purely on the past 4-6 games. I don't think it's a coincidence that Poch has suddenly after years of not doing it at all, complained about referees on a near weekly basis/ given very strange press conference which has coincided with absolutely terrible decisions tactically in regards to what players he is picking. I think he is under a lot of pressure at the moment which he's creating himself and I really fucking hope he can take this difficult experience, move past it and use it to go up another level as a manager.

To leave Alder/Aurier at home was so so arrogant. His sub off taking Moura off when again Eriksen is offering nothing, I can't understand the decisions he's making at the moment, I think all the signs point to him struggling with the stress atm. I hope he learns from it.

He does have a blase feel to his interviews but i think it is more to do with his frustrations that he can only take this current squad so far and it has that feel of running its course.

I dont think he will leave simply because the two options of RM and Manure wont be available to him BUT he will leave if we dont have some investment this summer and by some I mean a fair bit.

More arrogant is the tactic this season often to just keep three players up front (nominally in the ultra narrow diamond shape) waiting for a counter attack, inviting pressure, and just relying on outgunning teams if we can.

No idea why this became a thing, we have our moments but it's not as if we're some uber efficient counter attacking outfit to break on teams. To me all this does is put enormous pressure on the six/seven players doing any defending and leaves the flanks massively exposed. The amount of quality in the PL now even the bottom teams will give you problems, and it cant be any coincidence most teams now look to get at us down the flanks.

perhaps you’re right.

and for the record, i think Poch has done a great job. i just don’t think he’s the messiah. and i don’t think he’s irreplaceable.

the real danger is, i think keeping the squad together (bar probably toby and eriksen) depends on replacing him (if he goes) with a top name. but, like attracting top players, i dont think we’re capable of it.

Well he's been in the job for 3 months for a start, it's a little to premature to suggest he's on par with one of the best managers in the league, also Solskjaer is very much a one club man who get's Man Utd and has the backing from everyone including SAF, I don't think he repeats what he's doing anywhere else tbh...let's give him at least a full season to see what he does.

Are we also forgetting that although OGS hasn’t signed people yet, Man Utd the club certainly have over the last few seasons.

I thought this after the season began with no signings.

I think we might be saved another season because United did us a massive favour, they sacked Jose and Madrid fans are chanting his name whilst getting in a manager who's become a fan favourite who will have to be given the opportunity at the job fulltime.

What I will say is this season is very reminiscent of the final Harry season, in that it was felt we needed a few more pieces to complete the team, ended up with Nelson/Saha instead and then we began throwing games through tactical ineptitude and the manager showing his frustration. I really hope it doesn't go that way.

OGS has Ferguson in his ear, has not anyone noticed how he’s been about a lot?
We’ve lost 3 out of 4, something is wrong. Why didn’t Toby play, why Lucas and not Son? We don’t have a game next week so didn’t need resting.
Poch is struggling with something, I don’t know what but something has changed. This season is turning into Groundhog day of the mind the gap season☹️

Not good enough Poch

What’s with the Aurier and Toby sub?

Idiot

Not good enough for Madrid - would be gone in 9 months imo

When Plan A works...... brilliant

When we need to move on to Plan B ..... Poch really struggles. Subs, tactics, doesn’t seem like an in game thinker

Maybe I have rose-tinted glasses as far as Poch is concerned. But...wow. Some of the slating on here amazes me. The Spurs PR department has worked a treat. I simply don’t buy that Poch wasn’t interested in new signings. Absolute crap. Maybe the players he felt might improve what we have weren’t offered up? It’s a recurring theme of every single manager we’ve had for years at Spurs.

Be very careful what we wish for. I’d prefer to stick with Poch and let him sling out the the players that don’t have heart or want to play for us.

We wouldn't which is exactly why we need to keep him, for all his minor faults he still improved the players to the level to what they're at now, any manager that comes in will definitely want funding to replace the outgoing players and to bring their players in.
