What a man.
Proud to have him. Up there with Bill, I never saw that team just read about them but like many I worship the gods of my father and he’s my Bill.

He's very , very close and believe me that's a huge compliment. He does also have the time and ability to create a new history for Spurs.....then I would compare the two equally.

I see burkinshaw and I have the utmost respect for the man he won us trophies but this guy I dunno he’s a bit more lovable lol
Hope we we win that for him
#edit I guess Keith was a stoic Yorkshire man as was Bill I believe didn’t let he’s emotions get to him. The only other time I see a spurs manager cry was Arthur Rowe on a BBC documentary
If I can find it I’ll post it

Why does Poch keep saying he’s leaving after the CL final?

He was asked in the post match press conference if he was going to leave if we won and he said “Yes, maybe if we lose also”

Why?

It’s very strange.

Here's the thing though, he's either got a dry sense of humour and just didn’t like the question so took the piss or he is genuinely leaving.

Either way we can do nothing about it so let’s enjoy what he has given us and not think too much until after the final.

It didn’t seem like he was attempting humour. He couldn’t have said it in a more matter of fact manner.

It would be a huge blow if he were to leave now.

I wonder if he has an agreement wit Levy that if he wins us something then he will be let go. Very odd.

He has been talking about miracles and heroes all season. It could be that our inability to get him the players he wanted across the last two windows told him that he’d reached the ceiling with the club and squad. I dunno. It’s weird. It’s also entirely possible that that was his dry way of saying ‘ you never know what can happen in life’ but it doesn’t really read like that to me.

My current decision is to completely ignore it and enjoy the next couple of weeks

I’m sorry but if he were to win us the champions league he can leave with my blessing.

Nothing else could top that feeling as a football fan. If we lose though and he still goes :cry:

I really dont think he was joking. The man got us to the CL final. If he goes I will be happy for him and what hes achieved here, but I will mourn the loss.

He did say this summer would be one of a "painful" rebuild. Tough to think of anything more painful than rebuilding without him

I think hes had enough of the rubbish, he responded to another question about Kane in the same way. Big balls fuck off to them all. You make one sweeping, jokey, outlandish comment in your second language and the media cant shut up about it, even after you've just won a semi final...behave.

Dry sense of humor = non obvious sometimes matter of fact delivery

I saw that as an eff-you answer to a question he cant believe people are asking after an amazing win. (yes, i know his comments yesterday are why), but i interpreted his comments yesterday as closing a storybook run (but not literally leaving).

Probably because if he's not going to get the finances he wants in order to improve the squad, he feels he will have taken the team as far as it can go.
Up to the board now to back him and keep him.

Let Mauricio go after the final, bring in Jose who can only work with world stars, Levy buys Messi for him, sack Jose at the end of the window and bring Poch back
