Honestly the race between Poch & Ole to get sacked is just as exciting as the title race

There is no race. My bet is levy is waiting for them to sack ole and come for poch and they are waiting for us to sack poch to sack ole.

I’m poch in though so suits me lol

If Kane is one of the “discontented” group then Poch has no chance. Kane has been indulged almost as much as any player in the squad...rarely taken off even when we were coasting to victory, brought on v Tranmere when the game was won, starts CL final when clearly not fit.....
Yeah I think if Poch has lost Kane then Levy may as well go ahead and pull the plug. I don't see how Poch could manage the club if he can't get Kane playing.

.
Personally, I am going to put some money on Eddie Howe as the next Spurs manager :(. May even do it now if the odds are decent enough.
Funny that we all want to take a chance on the next best thing in players, before they get too expensive for us, but we don’t want to take that approach with managers. Is it because he’s English?
[/QUOTE]
No it's because he is not good enough for what we need.

The number of chances he is getting are significantly down. Kane is Tottenham so I imagine he's not only frustrated but unhappy with not being able to do what he does best.

As good as his relationship with Poch is I can still see him feeling that its the managers system and tactics that are the root cause in this.

Remember when the players used to make regular posts on social media showing great team spirit etc.

Haven't seen any for a while

You’re telling me Foyth or Sanchez wouldn’t have done better than Jan or Toby today? Or Dele or Lucas wouldn’t have done better than Eriksen?
It's fine to say that now. Look at most of the posts here about sanchez and Foyth after they have played. Sanchez has been awful this season. And Foyth has been a loose cannon when has he played.

Long time lurker and don’t post much, but I feel the need to post about Poch.
This is the man that has elevated the club to a position that 6 years ago we could only dream of, he has taken the club through a tough financial period of stadium building with not spending a great deal of money and had us in title races and a champions league final. I honestly think he has done enough in his time with us to deserve time and backing from us.

Not interested in any. They mean jack shit the way we are at the moment. In fact the less said, the better.

But isn’t that down to the form of Eriksen and Alli (injuries), they’ve always been the main source of Kanes goals.

I agree with that just that it pointed to harmony and happier times. At least we'd know the players were still good with each other.

Also because if you take a punt on a young player and it doesn't work out, no big deal, he sits on the bench or plays in the reserves.
Pick the wrong manager and it fucks your season completely.
Its a daft comparison tbh.

Yeah, I remember when I could only dream of Tottenham finishing in the top 4 from our lowly position of 5th, and 2 top 4 finishes not long before that...

Or do you mean the CL final that we very nearly showed up for?

I find it telling that there have been no players coming out in support of the manager for what seems like a long time.

I believe there are many factors which contributed to the mess we are now in, and one of those is the players have had so many near misses under Poch, that they have completely lost faith in the project and his methods. I also believe he lost the dressing room when he wavered in showing his complete commitment to the club when United were linked and his strange public mutterings.

I don't know about the players, but Poch pretty much lost me when he failed to shut down the United rumours over the New Year. Sure, we were already regressing as a team so my faith in him was wavering, but I'm not surprised if that is when he lost the dressing room.

He's also probably had too many falling outs with players.

The guy got far too big for his boots and I believe let the hype go to his head. I may be way off, but for a guy that has won nothing whatsoever, he sure liked to flirt with other clubs and I felt he showed the fans and club a huge lack of respect. He was always talking in riddles, and you can't really blame it on his english.

He's been here for 5 years and we've gone well passed our peak. Time to get a proven winner, an elite manager in charge who can get this team winning trophies. Someone who can tactically win games against our rivals, and not just rely on motivation.

We were hardly ever in proper title races, I mean, yeah it was better than it has been, but come on. we were always outsiders at best. He elevated us from a 5th placed club to about 4th/3rd. Hardly the messiah.

Not shutting down the United rumors really pissed me off.

You had Gary Neville and Martin Tyler talking about it every week, saying he's keeping his options open.

Come on we was bang in both races. The only challenger. And it was exciting. Granted I only started supporting in the early 90s but I never thought I’d see us in a genuine title race. But on more than one occasion I genuinely thought we would do it and we should of to be fair.

A trophy would be amazing but in reality it’s only a day at Wembley. But watching those 2 seasons even though we ended empty handed was amazing.
