Failing for a 3rd season in a row to strengthen and consolidate when sitting pretty in January. Need to be bold even if others aren't.

Really don't think you can underestimate the luck both Chelsea and Arsenal have had in their respective run ins to the season. Both were extremely lucky to have played Utd after they had won the title, while Arsenal also benefited from facing a tired looking Wigan team who had won the FA cup just 2 days earlier.

When Bayern assumed they were through after beating the Goons 3-1 away and didn't bother turning up for the second leg.

When Tottenham Hotspur fans exhibited a sense of entitlement.

We've lost nothing.

My dad thinks Liverpool away absolutely killed us, well Kyle Walker being a twat did.

I tend to agree, we were 1 down and managed to pull it back to 2-1 showing just how good this team was and we were in cruise control, Bale was just starting to come alive. Then Kyle Hoddle Walker decided to do the most ridiculous pass I've seen in a long time and we fucked up big time. Didn't we also miss a chance for 3-1 moments before this?

We never quite recovered from that game, the City home game showed a mini revival but it still was too little too late judging by how Arsenal were doing. I also think if we had won that Liverpool game Arsenal may have not gone on such a fantastic run, it may have dented their confidence a bit too, knowing we took all 3 points at Liverpool away having gone a goal down but then absolutely dominated them.

There's not just one moment that defines Spurs not making it 4th.
Starting the season with just one proven striker was madness. And on top of that not replacing the play making skills of v.d. Vaart and Modric adds to the "madness".
Spurs were, if not cruising to wins vs Liverpool and Everton, at least they should have consolidated draws in both games.
Losses to Wigan and Fulham at home were shockingly pathetic. Even a draw in both game would have gotten Spurs 4th.
2-3 game winning yet dubious (divings) penalties for Arsenal. How come Bale get "rewarded" with bookings while Arsenal get cheap penalties?

That Fulham game just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. We were just coming off of that tough Liverpool loss where we really played well and deserved the 3 points at Anfield. Being at home, I felt like we were going to put in a massive performance.

Hard to consider out Prem points record as "losing it" because honestly I think it was Arsenal who won it rather than us losing it. They were asked a huge question (by us) back in March and answered by taking 26 of 30 points. That's pretty fucking epic.

But it's Wigan at home. That's the exact kind of game that the top teams show up for and take the 3 points, no matter how ugly.

Following that it's Fulham at home, because again we should be taking the points, and it was at a critical time in terms of momentum and psychology.

But if we can narrow things down to just one or two games then we must be doing quite well. A tweak here and a tweak there and I think things are looking quite good.
