Kyle Walker, I loved that group of players that had blossomed under Poch and I thought they had real comradery. All of them arrived at the club young, cheap and mostly unproven, besides Moussa Dembele. We should have won multiple trophies with them, but oh well it wasn't meant to be.

In retrospect Walker's transfer was the first sign of our downward spiral.

Campbell for me.

Every other transfer, I could rationise - Bale went to Madrid for a world record fee, Carrick, Berbatov went to the (at the time) biggest club in the country, Modric went to one of the best clubs in the world etc etc.

But, Campbell....After everything he said, going to those fucks for free......I'm getting angry just thinking about it again. Easily the most painful and still raw.

The Berba/Keane summer was terrible. Ripped the heart out of the team and replaced it with a papier mache balloon.

Waddle for me too. He was my hero & it was totally out the blue.
Even if it were nowadays I don’t think there would’ve been any ITK it was that sudden.
My mum woke me up to tell me, actually cried. Bit embarrassing for a 25 year old….kidding. I was 26

With hindsight it was never ever going to happen but I'd managed to convince myself we had a chance of keeping Bale. The hope makes it much worse.

Greaves, he was my very first ‘hero’.
I was also devastated when Robbie Keane left and vowed never to have a ‘favourite’ again?

Dele was a painful one. Everyone knew it was the best move for everyone but it was still a painful goodbye. Felt like the end of the Poch era to me as well for some reason, despite him moving on long before.
Yeah, a real funny one this. I still have a soft spot for Dele but he'll never bet back to what he was so had to go.

Pat Jennings. Got pushed out of the door and went on to decent things at the scum. Campbell also, although he stitched us up, but it hurt to be blown out like that.

Waddle.

Broke my heart. Was looking forward to him, Gazza and Lineker playing together.
This, and then Gazza! Hoddle was difficult to take but kind of understood it. Carrick, Bale Modric Bernard and Walker tough ones but I will mention one who left a massive hole at the time - Richard Gough! Great defender!!

sadly there is only one that really hurt and I won't type his name

Bale would have won us the League if he hadn't left
Waddle going was a massive loss as well

Hoddle for me was awful. Thought he would never leave, then when he was going hoped that he would change his mind. Still get emotional seeing that goal against Oxford.
Had the same emotions stirred up when the Jam disbanded…. Similar feelings when Glenn left. … broken up inside

Hoddle was the worst. Then Lennon. Better players than Lennon have left, but none of them felt like such a loss to me.
