thing is, The Beatles are one of our biggest ever exports, and seeing as there's only Ringo and Macca left, I reckon Macca will be wheeled out at every big occasion til he looks like Ali.

Well I thought it was great. Really proud atm! Thought the 'building'of the rings was excellent.

Great job done by all!

Btw read on bbc that Becks did in fact drive that boat on the Thames!

Driving a boat is pretty easy, really. He's probably got a few himself, mind. There were definitely a couple of other people in the boat but it looked like they ducked down on the floor when it went in for Becks' close up.

I also thought all the music involved was great, even the stuff that aint my thing, was used really well.

One question tho, why no Oasis?

Have they pissed Danny off before? I mean, when youre talking about GB, Oasis flew the flag for the longest since the early 70's.

Why would you need Oasis when a quarter of the real Beatles was there?

thats a bit of a non question really.. I wasnt talking about live, my point was, if you're gonna be pro Brit, then why no Oasis?

And, in reality, Oasis have huge followings all round the world, ask del Piero, Tevez, Messi, Rooney, Roy Keane, etc etc.. just to put it in football terms for ya'll.

Rooney also like prostitutes but you don't see any of them there.

The bit with the kids, great ormond street and the NHS was a bit out of place for me. Not too sure really what they're celebrating or acknowledging.

The bit where the girl and the guy were running through the decades was funny as it was pretty much all centrered around drug music and loose morals Haha

Sky are completely irrelevant when it comes to the Olympics. I'm chuffed I don't have to tune in to their channels for the next three weeks for any Olympic news or coverage of the actual events. Buck toothed Swanson giving his two pence worth every ten minutes? Thanks but I would rather watch BBC and listen to people who have been there and done it as opposed to a guy who looks like he would struggle to walk five paces without breaking in to a sweat.

I was quite surprised to be honest. 90s music seemed to consist of Underworld, which is great if you like Underworld, which I do. But there was no reference to Oasis or Blur, the two Britpop leaders who were absolutely massive for half of the decade.

Blur was definitely played - Song 2. I don't rememeber hearing Oasis though.
