From the playing squad at least.

Is Sandro not getting the development he needs. I think Parkers been great but i honestly believe Sandro will one day be the best in the world and it's a shame he hasn't had all that much game time, a lot to do with injuries i know but partially Parker as well.

On the other hand, how great is it that thats our biggest downside to this season :grin:

he has been injured most of the time. He was starting to get his chances and was injured again, Don't think its much of a problem yet

I worried about that as well, but now I think it's actually working out brilliantly for him. I'm sure he'd want to play every game, but this season (when not injured) he's not only still featured in several games, but will also have had the benefit of playing alongside, and training with, Scott Parker - a player who could significantly boost Sandro's development as a player.

I don't get it really - he was injured for ages, and when he was fit he was in the team alongside Parker. How is he meant to develop when he's out injured?

He actually sat benched for about 5 or 6 games whilst not injured playing 10 mins here and there except when Lennon went out which was when he actually got to start. With the main midfield fit Sandro is benched. Thats the problem.

Sandro is developing IMO - I thought that some of the performances he put in before Christmas were better than some displays last season

Who cares? He's had playing time but players coming back from injury won't necessary come straight back in the team if someones in their position. I'm sure he knows this and knows is he's fit he will get game time. I'm more concerned that we will be dropping points than who's not playing.

I get the feeling Sandro will be a world class player somewhere else...pity.

This ^

We have a gem and at 22 he needs to be starting regularly thats my point. If not he will end up becoming a fantastic player somewhere else and we will only get about 15m for him as opposed to 30 odd or whatever.

I dont see why that will be the case, next season it looks increasingly like we will have Champions League footy again, which means more games for our 'star' players. With Parker being 32 next season and baring in mind the role he plays and his combative style he is going to need rest/pick up knocks. Sandro will get lots of playing time I am sure.

He was injured, had some time on the bench when regaining match fitness and has played several times over the December period.

The only difference this season is losing a player of his calibre hasn't ended our season.

Mate you may not have read it before, but my son dimispurs has contact with Sandro, he loves it at the lane,he really does, but 'he' says he may be off sooner rather than later, if any big spanish team comes knocking, most brazilians walk, its the lifestyle etc...though he does love london and spurs, lets hope we convince him to stay, he is such a top guy by the way.

I assumed you were talking about his supposed lack of playing time. My mistake.

In relevence to this thread, then if this is true and he wants to go for the climate/lifestyle then there isnt a lot we can do in the long run, even if he played every game.

If we are successful and he gets playing time he will stay, Parker can't keep his work rate up for a full season. At the end of the day I support the club and the team, Parker IMO is first choice ATM due to his form its up to Sandro to work his way into the successful team. If he chooses to leave due to lifestyle reasons well there ain't much we can do about it.

Sandro will develop nicely with us... the pressure is lessened with Parker being there and we don't have to rush him back from injuries. Plus the added competition is healthy.

If however he decides he wants to move abroad to the big spanish clubs when the time is right for lifestyle reasons, then so be it. We will get a nice payday out of it I am sure and we move on.

In the mean time I have no issues with his playing time and development at Spurs and I am sure if he is a sensible lad he will see it that way too.

Plus his "bench" time so far was after an injury where he was supposedly still short of fitness, so we wisely kept him back.

Sorry but think other than the qoutes regarding future desires that this is not something we need to worry about just yet.
