Hi, fellow Spurs SUPPORTERS!
With people being so sad about the status of affairs lately I thought I would try and cheer some of you guys up!
Yes, this season has been one of the least entertaining and exciting seasons in some years.
Yes, we lost Bale who would probably shot us to world domination.
Yes, we have sacked a manager and replaced him with "a nobody".
This we can agree on.
BUT....
As the season comes to a close we can also agree on the following:
1. We are probably going to end up 6th in the PL and be miserable about it. 6 years ago I would have bitten your hand off If you offered me that position before the season. We are now a top club in the PL. For us experiencing the 90s and most of th 00s......thats a BIG achievement. Last year we racked up all time high 72 points and we are almost doing it again this year. That is called progress.
2. We are looking at top, top managers for taking us forwards. Don't believe "its all over"-bullshit. Our next manager will probably bring back good times again. Look forward guys!
3. Before this season we bought 7 players that have had a hard time this season. Everybody has. Even Christian Eriksen struggled at first, but eventually settled in. So did Berbatov, Modric and even Bale (remember we almost sold him to Birmingham). Every one of these have now gotten used to the PL. Lets give them another season to let them shine. I believe most of them will!
4. We have lots of exciting prospects at the club that are still young and upcoming. Kane, Townsend, Rose, Fryers, Bentaleb, Sigurdsson, Eriksen, Naughton, Lamela....the list goes on. We are the FUTURE.
5. The stadium. A new 60 000 seater stadium. WOW. Right around the corner.
6. US. The supporters. We have been through ups and mostly downs. We're still here and we are the best fans in the PL. We are no glory hunting wannabees. We breathe Spurs and we are here no matter what. Let the Chevskis and the Citehs and the Arse have the gloryhunters and if any of you wanna quit, make my day. Im here and already looking forward to next season.
So the future is BRIGHT and it is LILYWHITE!
