If Fulham win they can finish top half which should be a fairly big incentive for Hodgson to say we finished top half and reached Europa league final

The pressure is on arsenal: they are coming to their game off the back off a few dire results; they know we have a super chance of beating Burnley; we have a chance.

It is a shame that Arse aren't playing a clogging team like Brum!

Forget the race for 4th place, surely that's now a given ;-)

10 points behind the gypsys, a game in hand, got to play them yet. That will leave us only 4 points behind!!!!

Before any one slates me, this is just a light hearted Tongue in cheek thread :)

Sure a body's bound to be a dreamer............ Come on Fulham.

That's what we said when we were due to play West Ham a few seasons back. Turned out they played their strongest team and told them they're all playing for a spot in the final and we all know how it turned out

Good point... there is hope yet. The Force is strong with us.

So if the Scum draw on Sunday and we beat Burnley 11-0 then 3rd is ours!!!!

Fulham wont put out their strongest squad but a lot of their players are stiflers so could even stop the scum playing.

If Fulham nick a 0-1 which we all know is very unlikely then 3rd here we come :)

That will be the icing on the cake!

My best mate is an Arsenal fan (LOVED watching the 2-1 game with him the other week) and he called to congratulate me last night after the game.

He readily admitted he is now shitting himself about this weekend.

I don't think Fulham will be an easy game at all. Hopefully they can stay in the game for 90 minutes and then Sol can pop up with an own goal in extra time.

1) Roy Hodgeson is a perfectionist. He won't be happy about last night (and will readily attempt to pull his own eye out at the slightest mistake or missed chance:grin:). The Fulham players will be playing for their place in a major European cup final...don't think anyone can assume they will roll-over;

2) Burnley are 'gone' in every sense of the word. They have shown themselves susceptible to being on the wrong end of goal-fests, even at home (as witness the two Manchester club's visits). So, even if we need a massive (is it 10?) goal overhaul in GD if Fulham 'just' draw with the ArseScum, I say GO FOR IT! Who knows, if we get an early goal, and then a second, they could absolutely collapse...and our lads will be playing without any restraint:shrug:

Stupid numpty, indeed:grin:

But it don't really matter...we have 4th now, that is irreversible, even by the <SP tries desperately not to be accused of censor evasion, here> at the FA (Scudamore, I'm lookin' at you). So it doesn't really matter if we get all cocky and gobby and then get shafted by Burnley, Fulham, the Goons.

We advance to go, we collect £200.

You can bet every penny you have that Harry will be straight onto Roy asking for a favour from his old mate.
