Finally opened this thread for the first time... sorry if I jinx it but by God we have a chance again
This is where investments in Nkoudou, Janssen & Sissoko will benifit us. Nkoudou can beat his full back, while Sissoko can run through them. Janssen can hold the ball in tight spaces & bring others into play.
We are less & less affected by teams like WBA. Previous years, we may be susceptible to their long ball ideas & set piece threats. But now we have physically imposing players. We not only negate their threat, in fact we have increased our set pieces threats when we are attacking. Dead ball delivery has improved. Likes of Alderwiereld & Dier have given are consistently good in opponent box.
We have answers to every team in league. Only team we still look unconvincing is Liverpool. But atleast against them, we have been getting away with draws.
Still behind Liverpool and Arsenal in the betting - go figure!
I am suprised nobody has mentioned the winning goal from the scum. What a complete joke. If they somehow use those extra 2 points to get above us, i will be filthy.
However, i have no doubt they will.
What the offside, hand ball goal in the 3rd minute of 2 minutes of injury time, nothing really worth mentioning

Speak for yourself. To be honest, there are an awful lot of games to play, we won't really know until Feb/Mar time if we are in with a realistic chance.
I could see us slipping up against weaker teams who park the bus. Our preferred style is much better suited to the best teams who like hording possession.
It's culturally weird for Spurs to follow one good season with another. We just very rarely do it, and that's been true for decades. That started changing a bit under Jol and Harry, but still the norm has been a good season followed by disappointment.
That's why we're having a hard time processing the idea that we may genuinely be improving over time, and that this season really should be better than last. Better players, more experience, longer bonding time etc. What exactly is the case for us going backwards? There isn't really a lot of logical support for that - just psychological ones around Spursiness.
Anyone know how many points we had after 7 games last year?
