I was trying to find a table that showed the final run-in for the top six teams but couldn't, so I quickly put this together. Might give a bit of a clearer idea of how things stack up for us.

Someone has also made this - the FDR is just a difficulty rating:

The last day could be fun for the neutral to watch if the Liverpool v Boro and Man U v Palace games determine both the last Champs League spot and the last relegation spot, or if Everton go to Arsenal knowing that any result for them helps Liverpool get Top 4.

The same applies to us playing away at Hull but fingers crossed we'll already be sure of a top 3 finish.

Fucks sake, can people start to distinguish between giving it large to Arsenal and gloating that we'll finish above them to making a prediction based on how the season has gone so far please, there is a thin line you know people, jeez!:D

Why? It's not like those ****s can distinguish.

Seeing as we're getting spammed to high heaven, I'll continue this in here. :D

I was told that we are at a different level to what were before

Also City's record is better albeit slightly, they dropped one less point but played more matches

The teams you guys are mentioning are at the level we were before fighting for 4th

Might as well look anyway
Liverpool
Top 5 - 8 points from 9 games
Middle 7 - 7 points from 8 games
Bottom 7 - 14 points from 11 games

Arsenal
Top 5 - 15 points from 7 games
Middle 7 - 6 points from 9 games
Bottom 7 - 6 points from 10 games

Man Utd
Top 5 - 12 points from 6 games
Middle 7 - 13 points from 10 games
Bottom 7 - 4 points from 10 games

So yeah we have the second worse record in the top 6 against the bottom 7 teams, Liverpool by far are the worst and we match Arsenal's record if we win our next match against the bottom 7.

We are playing on a different level to that of 2014/15 compared to last season and this season. In 2014/15 we were challenging for the top four and still in our infancy under Poch, last season and very much this season we are title challengers. Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Utd are not on the same level as we were in 2014/15, they are our title rivals hence only 7 points (2 matches in hand) separating us from 2nd to 6th so there's no conceivable reason not to include them in your analysis as well.

Also Leicester were 11th when we played them, they weren't struggling or fighting relegation they were mid table, you can't just thrown them in as an example just because they are in the bottom 7 now especially when your criteria is of teams who are "fighting to stay up" Besides all that dropping 6 points out of 21 against bottom teams can hardly be called a weakness.

I understand that some are looking for stats to explain why we've been generally pretty damn good most of the season and are in second place, but still find ourselves 10 points behind first. The real answer is our away form, especially against the top clubs. We have almost wiped the floor clean with most of the smaller clubs. There really is not an issue there.

Thanks, I was hoping to see something like that. The next 5 games will tell us a huge amount. Our toughest game looks to be Southampton this weekend. The rest of the top 6 will have to play another top 6 team at least once in those 5 games, Liverpool and Man U will have Everton too. If we can stay the course and get a run of wins together we could potentially be looking very good..... which might be handy as the last 5 games look much tougher

A lot will also depend on when our games in hand are arranged for. The Leicester game will definetly be in the last 3 weeks of the season due to their CL game.

United, City and Arsenal all have 2 games to rearrange as well.

West Brom, Southampton and Palace look like they are going to have quite a say in what happens. We've finished our fixtures against WBA but the others haven't and we all have to play the other two.

This is the fun part of the season, running through different scenario's, trying to figure out who'll end up winning what matches and how the outcome of the league will be.

I wish doing my acca's was as simple as this too, we'd all be rich if they come in as we thought they would, easily. Yet, we don't win those acca's very often, so I tend to not bother and just sit and day dream about the results.

Still wouldn't change it for anything though!

Incredible that City has Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in a row, and united for the last match.

They don't have United as their last game - that game is simply yet to be rescheduled after it was postponed for the EFL Cup final.

Utd, City, Arsenal and ourselves all have a couple of games to be rescheduled (Arsenal have 3 I think) which is likely to mean some congested fixtures in late-April onwards, but I'd expect us each to have a game scheduled for the midweek after the FA Cup semi-finals as there are no European games that week.

Big game ahead against Southampton. Getting 3 points crucial ahead of International break.Otherwise lack of Kane will be blown up even more and weigh heavy on the club
