Funny but I think the fact that for the second season running we are in a title race is bloody awesome and I love that I can dream about winning a title so late in a season. So enjoy the moment until it is not possible to win it, rather than dread the next game.

Totally, when I was growing up it was just the slim hope that we might qualify for the intertoto cup if we could finish as high as 8th or 7th
Or the uefa cup proper via the fair play league.

Still not properly sunk in how we compete regularly now at the top

I thought the race was over 2 months ago, but there's a glimmer of hope. The next two weeks will decide. Chelsea have City and United so if they come out of the next three games with 4 points and us with 9 its game on. Those are big ifs, I know.

I'm trying not to think about it too much but if we are within 4 points of them and then go and beat them in the semi final we will gain a huge psychological boost over them.

I just hope that if we chase and lose the title the players continue fighting for 2nd spot and not cave in like they did last season.

First, let Shitty draw with Arse tomorrow, and then beat Chelscum while we beat Swans. We'll then be only 4 points behind and have a better goal difference.

You must be similar age to me.

Growing up thinking that getting Thatcher, Perry and Sullivan from Wimbledon would make us a top 6 team.

The madness is that by the time we play them at wembley in FA cup we could be level with or ahead of them in the league
draws with Bournemouth (a) and city (h) for them and a loss to united (a) is not so inconceivable...
The hard part is we need to win at Swansea A and Watford Bournemouth H
IF we can get 9 points out of the next 3 games we will a] more or less have got CL football for next season (71) points with 6 games left
B) be putting huge pressure on them for Semi final...
I think that if we are at full strength at Wembley we are well capable of beating them
the problem is we have half our first team out

The things is they are a good side but not a great one.. they have scraped loads of games this season just look at West Brom last week. It will be even sweeter to beat them in the league after being so far behind... on top of that to beat them in the semi would be mind blowing..... I have a nose bleed thinking about this.

in the fixtures we've both played, we are now 1 point behind them.

They have dropped 2 points from our remaining fixtures (our next against Swansea). We've dropped 11 in the fixtures they have left.

If we can match their results (8 wins, 1 draw) they need to do better than we've done in our corresponding fixtures (3 wins, 4 draws, 1 loss) to win the league. And they'll probably have to turn two of those draws into two wins or win away against Manchester United to finish above us given the probable swing in goal difference which should see us above them should they drop the points.

We deserve a league title

we were the best team in the league last year.

And I really don't think Chelsea are any better than us this season. They've just had no European football, less injuries & more luck. We are better than them.

If we win mid week and they don't it's very much on.

Can't believe some people are hoping Arsenal get a draw against City. Any result against City will give them a confidence boost. I want them turning up at the Lane in a month ON THEIR FUCKING KNEES!!!!!

If City beats Arsenal, it would give them the encouragement to try and beat Chelsea and throw the title race open again, which would benefit us, although we also have to do our part by winning all or as many as possible, of our remaining fixtures.

In addition, if Arsenal loses, it would be even more difficult for them to overtake us in the race for CL spots.

Chelsea have 1 better in GD...

If City don't make a dent on Wednesday, title race is as good as over. If City do win and we win at Swansea, then we are talking...

Tbh, I really can't see Chelsea dropping enough points to give us a chance.

To be frank, I doubt that there were many fans thinking that Chelsea would have dropped points at home yesterday. There's still 27 points to play for and anything is possible until the fat lady sings, if she ever does.

Man City wins against Arsenal and Chelsea would fine with me, it would put us firmly in a top four place, a win at Swansea could put us fifteen points above Arsenal, that's quite a gap they'd do well to mind and it pulls Chelsea back even closer.
I am confident we will outdo City in the run in too.

I don't, but if the gap is closed further in the next week or so then it will be interesting to see how Chelsea react. That will determine whether they'll be champions or not.

We are particularly stretched at the moment, but all we can do is keep winning. That will only make them more nervous.
