I know a lot of fans didn't want the conference league but it does now throw up some new problems.

If you've been frustrated in the past with our "sell before we buy" narrative it's now just increased tenfold.

Before we even think about incomings or promoting youth we will have a first team squad of 34 players when they all return from loan.

There is so much to do and without a head coach and DOF this currently looks like an impossible task without having a fire sale.

I think anyone considering us as a viable club be it player or manager needs to be sold a vision and plan too, we seem to be lacking this

These are just the simple facts mate. No spin or agenda.

I'm not trying to be negative after a good win, I'm just trying to be realistic and look forward to what we are facing.

Levy really does need to pull his finger out and get the manager (and DOF) sorted in the next few days.
That squad needs as much time as possible to address.
Time to stop dithering Daniel COYS.

If we are trying to be positive, it provides more time to focus on domestic games. We can try and establish a core team and rotate less and fingers crossed be more consistent.

But considering everything else is an absolute shit show right now, it’s hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel.

I think this was needed anyway, no? Obviously we need less players now, but there’s an awful lot of players that need shifting and moving on. We have had info that we’ll be cancelling some contracts too, so hopefully the work is already underway.

Huge summer ahead. But playing once a week is a huge opportunity for any new manager to drill his methods and style of play into his players.

Frankly if it hits Levy where it hurts then I’m not too fussed. We need a fire sale and it’s not like we’d be wisely spending 200m every summer even if we had CL revenue anyway.

Agreed.

If we did finish in the conference league places, I bet we would have kept a lot of the deadwood around too.

Think in the long term it's better for us to have a year out.

The squad is bloated and absolutely no chance we can clear that much out if Levy decides to penny pinch.

He seriously needs to get the DOF and Manager in asap so they can clear the deck.

If it ends up taking considerable time to appoint a DOF and Manager and clear the squad we are truly screwed.

Well I'm not sure much money is generated from the wafer conference league (although prove me wrong people!), so it doesn't make a great deal of difference, beyond deciding to slim the squad down a bit because we don't have to trudge around eastern Europe for a dozen games next season?

In the long term it could be a good thing - shifting players on has been a big challenge for us as a club, so being forced will actually see some churn take place.

There needs to be a DOF and manager announced in the next 2-3 weeks, and there then needs to be some serious trimming of the squad through the end of July.

The club is in desperate need of a makeover, having that timeline accelerated by the lack of European football and the squad overhaul required could be a good thing.

This exec team will fuck it all up no doubt though.

What will be will be.

That's where I'm at with Tottenham now.

Until Daniel Levy goes.

Fuck all point in investing too much thought in it all.

European football would of been better for the Club, of course.

It's not about the money it generates, it's about the potential game time. More games means more injuries, and rotation(well it should do) and that justifies a bigger squad. I think we are at least 10 players too many right now and that's before incomings or promoting youth.

It’s also hard to attract players without any Europe but next year we have to go full strength in all cups no excuses we could potentially walk the league cup, we should also take Semi’s of the FA Cup or nothing.
