Ok, they may have missed out on a few not so serious "offenses", like Suarez' dive, but all in all it's best ref performances I seen in a long time involving Spurs!
Is shows to those on here - and there are a few on here - who think ref's impact on a game in rather minimal.
Today's ref team were excellent.
If this had been away to Manu with, say, Rennie as ref, none of the offenders would have been sent off. "Their" goal would have stood. Defoe's goal would have been disallowed for off-side, and most prob both of Ade's (none were off-side but they all were close). And Fergie would have been happy.
Well done ref/assistants!

I actually feared the worst when Dalglish started bleating about the refs. last week. I really thought that we would get some dodgy decisions given against us.

I was very impressed with Mike Jones' "take no shit" attitude. He really stamped his authority on the game.

I know we don't often praise the refs.

But, Well done Mike Jones.:clap::clap:

Of course had it been the other way around you guys would be bitching that he was card happy and made too big of an impact on the game.

Was glad to see Bale protected tough.

I thought he was very card happy. Ade and Lucas bookings were nonsense, and he seemed eager to whip em out. Both red cards right tho

Ade lifted his leg very hight and showed his studs when he went for a ball that wasn't even a 50-50 ball.

I thought the ref did well today. A little card happy perhaps, but he got most decisions right. Not often we get to praise them so credit where it is due!!

Lets face it Adam can be a dirty player what he did to Bale last season I was not surprised he got sent off...the right decision.

When adam got his just reward i thought the ref might had even it up second half. Full credit to the players. Thought Parker was very lucky when he took a kick at one of the bin dippers second half. If Howard Webb was in charge maybe a different outcome would have happened.

have to credit dalglish who said after the match how well our lot played and that he didnt want to moan about the ref as he didnt want to take amything away from the spurs performance.

First card for Adams could might as well been a talk to instead of a yellow but the second challenge was a direct red card so all in all he should be happy to recieve 2 yellows instead of 1 red.

Suarez should have gotten a red for hitting Parker so he should also praise himself lucky and I totally agree with the yellow he got. I hate it when players "mock" the refs like that and it was a fully deserved card.

Indeed, pretty rare for a manager in those circumstances

Dalglish is a class act but L'pool have paid way over the odds for average players. TBH I wasn't surprised with how poor Liverpool were... a lot of hype about average players Saurez apart who IMO is being overrated too. Heard Jamie on sky saying his a 50M player.

Kuyt is a must!!! very surprised he can't make that team. IMO he's just as good as Saurez. Gerrard Johnson back will improve them.
