Interesting recent Todd Kline quotes from a convention.

“You will see in the long term some of the master planning around the neighborhood and some other things that will come out and what we’re going to build in and around the campus – again, all designed to support the great facilities and support the investment into the necessary vehicles in which we desire to fund.
". .... Support the great investment into the necessary vehicles in which we desire to fund"!
He's American isn't he ?
I like what he says though.

I tell you what he is compelling listening, unbelievably switched on. Yes I had to read that sentence a few times ?

Went to the shop and had a bit of a nose about. Can’t remember the fancy name they gave this area behind the ticket office. But looks like work is underway behind the hoardings for music studios galleries etc.

Application for Arches by WHL station to be redeveloped into commercial space. Nothing to do with club. Little bit of high road west.

Was gonna put in Arsenal thread but thought it’s probably more interest for folk that visit this thread. Ashburton trading a subsidiary of the club are building this opposite the stadium. Not sure all the ins and outs of their finances on this.

Whatever you think of gentrification it’s certainly better than this. Right opposite stadium by love lane terrible shame.

The problem is that gentrification isn’t going to stop that happening, it’ll just move a lot of people to different areas and price them out of their homes.

Even then, I live in Angel, which is fairly well gentrified and there have been some fairly horrific stabbings here too.

Tottenham is a hugely underfunded borough, and it’s sad to see the problems it has, but just filling the area with more well off people doesn’t sit well as a solution

We live just round the corner from here and got a knock from the police asking if we had a camera or anything.

No, gentrification won't help, but proper regeneration of an area with a good amount of community assets and affordable housing can certainly make a big difference in the circumstances which lead to tragedies like this.

The spat between the Club and the Lendlease plans for the HRW development continues.

Many of the concerns raised by the club should be within the remit of the local council to deal with. Yet they just rolled over, and now its literally down to the club to ensure that something worthwhile is developed in the area. Seriously, wtf? At least we have a business that appears to have a conscious, whereas the people who are elected to represent your interests just do nothing.

If the the Council do roll over without following due process then the Club will take this all the way through the Courts.

Meanwhile the Club’s own rejected plans are with the Planning Inspectorate following a formal appeal and the club also have a revised submission waiting for a planning decision.

If you’ve ever been to or seen video of a council planning meeting you’d realise very quickly how clueless these people are. It’s mad that the future living requirements of generations are in the hands of such incompetent clowns.
