Is this correct? I just found this article in the business section of the BBC page saying we need a updated "Brand" over and above the old "Glory Glory"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15017076
Basically saying that our future lies in the worldwide particularly Asian markets as we have more supporters outside the UK than in
it and we need to emphasize our own distinct brand to market the club.
Obviously we are behind some of the other top sides but it states that we have 179 million fans around the world also that we are one of the few clubs that can fill a 60k stadium which shows the board's confidence in the new stadium paying its way.

Interesting read, what do people think on the "Flair, Style & Adventure" as a brand for us?

It sounds like they are doing a lot of work behind the scenes.

Glad to hear it, because if you stand still, you will fall behind. Will be interested to see the new website redesign when it is released, obviously that is going to be an increasingly important way to reach Spurs fans all over the world, would not be surprised to see different language options incorporated in it.

Sounds like a TV channel might be in the offing eh ?

Interesting read, not sure what we can do to raise our profile vastly in asia, and ManU are more than 3/4 years ahead of us in brand terms, they are about 30/40 years ahead of us.

There are so many opportunities for expanding in Asia. I'm living in Xiamen which is a City of about 2.5m people in South East China and honestly outside of the foreigners very few people have even heard of Tottenham.

Arsenal is the number one team here (they travelled to Xiamen as part of their tour a few years ago and there are 3 Arsenal shops in the city). Then obviously Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal due to them being the biggest sides last time the Premiership was easily available in China. Then there is Birmingham who have big billboards plastered over the city due to their Chinese kit sponsor.

We had more exposure due to the Champions League last season, since that is available on national TV, but really it is something that could easily be pushed much harder. There are 50 cities in China with more than a million people, so the potential for a solid fan base, merchandise sales and breand strengthening is clearly there.

I'm sure we will see some interesting developments with regards to this and it is encouraging that they are thinking in this direction.

IOMLS - we should start a Chinese based sports marketing company and pitch to Tottenham to run their China exposure push... I'm pretty sure marketing football to Chinese is easier than marketing cheese.

I'd buy Spurs brand flares, as long as they came with a massive, equally retro, rosette, to go with my 60's football rattle.

Champions League exposure is key.

Champions League Exposure sounds like bragging rights for the top ten sex offenders or something, when you put it like that...

Hey, who am I to argue - taking a criminal gimmick into the squad helped for the Woolwich & Chelsea in the past, i don't see the harm in us trying our own angle
