The Whinge and Moan Thread

As Spurs fans, when it come to having a good old moan, frankly, we're the European Champions of moaning and whinging!

But something's gone horribly wrong lately. We just keep on winning!!

I can only put it down to the universe being out of sync, or some sort of cosmic order has gone a bit haywire somewhere down the line.

I find myself going about my day to day life with an unbefitting smile on my face, thinking about the giant cockerel shaped spanner that we've thrown into the workings of Chelsea's normally serene cruise into the CL places, and likewise of Arsenal and Liverpool. Even the Manchester clubs are having an uneasy glance over their shoulder.

I also seem to have this relaxed air of confidence on the lead up to, and during our games. None of this 'id take a point today', or general panic and fear whenever we concede the first goal, or find ourselves level with 10 minutes to go in a game we should have be winning comfortably.
Then after the game, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to have much to complain about in the post mortem.

So, with all that in mind, just to make all us normally semi suicidal, manically depressive, 'when will we get any luck' spurs fans feel a bit more 'at home', I thought we could have a thread for all your gripes and groans about our pathetic displays at the weekend, and discontent with our useless strikers, and clumsy GK, just to save cluttering up the rest of the other superbly optimistic and happy threads that we have running.

Doubt we'll be seeing many posts in here tbf, after all, we're fucking brilliant!!

Redknapp is Twitch-Meister - we should sacrifice him to the Gods of Wheel-Deal

Anyone want to see a TV show, where Redknapp has to choose from 15 footballers, each hidden inside a giant red box, hosted by Noel Edmunds?

Could call it 'wheel, or no Deal'

Just me then.

I think we just have to accept that Harry is not one to rotate the squad and utilise the bench players fully. Once he has the first 11 he prefers then he will tend to go with that all the time when possible as long as they're performing.

Can't complain while we're doing well and winning but it is tough for the squad players that won't get a look in till an injury occurs.

Well I am sure there was enough about the West Brom game to pick at if you tried hard enough... or wanted to. But winning is winning...

However what Spurs fans do mightily well is jump from one extreme to another, so the longer the winning streak goes on, the more we will moan to hi heaven when we do lose.

My moan is that as our fans are content and our squad is shit hot, we are likely to be in for a quiet January. This means that there will be none of the hysteria and shenanigans of itk that has made the last 4 windows a very entertaining experience (peanut vs potl still fresh in the memory). Imagine a deadline day when the most we will all be praying for a squad player (weird, isn't it?)

Wouldnt be surprised to see at least one of Bassong, Kranjcar or Gio to go if they have a steady replacement in mind?

Great thread and so true... I'm sure someone will have a moan about something sooner or later...

I just fucking hate Mattyspurs and Spurger King.

Oh a whinge and moan about Spurs?.....my bad!

We're too good. It's building up my hopes and I can't cope with that level of optimism.

Plus I'm not convinced that Carlsberg Export is worth £4.20 although I do like the new food options so that cancels that out.

Harry is not the manager to take us to the next level. Jack the Lad wheeler-dealer. He lacks the tactical nous of a cultured Continental manager. Say, Juande Ramos, for example.

Modric needs to be stuck out on the wing. He's too lightweight to play CM in the Prem. Any fool can see that, why can't Harry? Why oh why did we ever let Steed go?

Bale is a fullback. Read my lips. Fullback. Why are we wasting him on the wing? Can't you see he's a fullback. We are sacrificing his defensive talents and only using his mediocre attacking ones. Any manager with any sense would be using him correctly.

VdV is a luxury player. No discipline. Sure, he scores the odd goal but we can't afford to effectively give up one midfield spot for that out-of-shape prima donna.

Adebayor can't drive a ball. Emile Heskey mark II. Non-scoring striker. Why are we letting the clinical Pav rot on the bench?

Defoe is always offside. He's not a top-4 striker face it. He spends much to much of his time and energy chasing women. What's left for his football?

Lennon never fulfilled his promise and never will. Get shot fast.

Walker might be good attacking but he can't defend. What is he, 21 by now already. If he hasn't learned that yet, he never will. All I can imagine is we might be able to pry Chimbonda away from the Championship as a stopgap solution.

King is past it. Should be released outright and written off by insurance.

BAE's hair is going from bad to worse. It's really getting out of control and just the air drag on his fro probably slows him down a step. Plus he drives a Smart car and refuses to blather plap. He is ruining the reputation of millionaire footballers everywhere.

Parker. What an uninspiring signing. Is a washed up 31 year old, fresh from leading his team to relegation, the one to take us to the next level. Just the other day, I was talking to my cousin, and he told me that a mate of his had gone to see a game of Real Zippyona and that their midfielder Carlos Bootaball was running the show like a boss. Why didn't we sign him? Where is our scouting network?

Hudd is fat. Imagine how fat he must be by now, after months with no exercise and no doubt a steady diet of pies.

Oh, and Jenas is shit.

I would be interested to see the google analytics web traffic reports on how many visits the site has had since we lost to Man City. I bet it's inversely proportional to our success in the league..

You forgot the over-the-hill Freidel and HR doesn't give flair players like Dos Santos and Taarabt a chance.
