Berbati - thank you for that! Feeding some good info into the Spurs database.

I'm highly amused that Voronin ended up at Liverpool where, so far, he manages to make Kuyt look prolific! :eek:mg:

I'm not surprized Berba did an excellent job as a lone striker for Bayer. But, as you suggest, it's not ideal and it must lead a player to burn out physically.

When you have two top players like Berba and Keano who've developed a good understanding, I think you must AUTOMATICALLY end up creating more chances than if you have two players who don't really understand each other.

That's true

I argued once with Joey55 (where is that man ) about Rafa but I'm ready to admit now that Joey had a point: Rafa is far from being talented when it comes to select players.

I argued the same point with Spurs Community's "Juande_Ramos", who is a big fan of Rafa. SC JR finally conceded that Benitez was a very poor judge of a player.

In fact, in hindsight, Benitez seems to have signed Kuyt precisely because Jol wanted him. For his next party trick, Rafa signed the "wrong" striker from Leverkusen - ie he signed Voronin instead of Berbatov. All I can say is "Gracias, Rafa!"

If Keano was English then the press in this country would link him with the top sides in Europe in much the same way they do with Berba.

Love him, pure and simple. That hug still gets me.

I dont think his nationality has anything to do with it. Keano has absolutely no reason to leave, he possibly loves us more that we love him & he is practicly our captain at the moment while Ledley is on the mend. thats the reason why in my opinion.

The title of this thread is so utterly ridiculously funny, I can't think of anything remotely sarcastic to amplify it's hilarity..

Seeing Robbies reaction and animation while lifting the cup brought home how much it means to win a trophy.

In that moment all the silly things about players wages, Wags, their behaviour were forgotten as Robbie reminded everyone that football is childhood dreams, about lifting trophies at Wembley - in that moment you saw all the years of wanting and trying coming together - and it was effing magic!!!

Robbie Keane - YOU are a Spurs legend.

scoring 100 goals is not enough to be a true legend

sort off. To be a legend you have to symbolise tottenham.
For me this is proof he loves tottenham. and loving the club is almost as important as playing well for the club!

Loved the way Keaneo virtually took the trophy off Leadly, classic :)

In terms of our best strikers ever. Greavies no.1 no doubt other ahead of Keane may be:Lineker,Allen,Chivers,Sheringham and thats it. I don't think Klinsman can claim to be ahead of Keane as much as he was popular i don't think he's as much of a club legend and so yea in terms of all of our strikers ever Keane has to be in the top8 and possibly the top6.

Love him!

I love Keano, not just because of Sunday, it has always been apparent to me that he loves Spurs. Sunday showed me that that cup meant more to him than any other player, he just couldn't contain his happiness and it was emotional to see!

The way he ran up to Berba, if you watch it Berba hugs him just like he hugs Berba - they clearly love playing together and have a great partnership. I think that they are going to take the footballing world by storm, and I don't say that lightly. We are under the right Manager now and the team are so close.

Seeing how much winning means to players like Keano makes me so happy, he plays his heart out for the team I love, and Sunday made him as happy as I was. That's how it should be, that's when a player isn't just getting paid to do a job, he's fulfilling a dream.

"We all dream of a team of Robbie Keanes.................."

Bobby Smith? Cliff Jones (who wasn't a striker, but scored a shedload of goals nevertheless)? Alan Gilzean? Len Duquemin? George Hunt? Ted Harper? Johnny Morrison? (The last three were pre-WWII, but that counts, doesn't it?)
