Skipped my girlfriends 18th birthday party to go to Everton away. I made the last hour! Her parents were not amused, can't understand why!

Flew to Durban in SA for 2 days for a pre-season friendly in 2003. What a waste of time that was, terrible, gutless performance.

Slept at numerous railway stations in the 80's due to no trains home after long distance midweek away games. Euston was the best, LIverpool St. was bloody cold in those days!

Missed my aunt's wedding to watch a home match against Watford. Went to the evening and made out I'd had the shits.

Also, one season a few years back, I used around 95% of my annual leave taking half days & full days off to watch us at weekends. Had about 2 other days off that year, which was harrowing. Currently not working weekends, which is nice.

My cousins childs christening to watch us play Man united, popped into the church at half time just as it started, everyone saw me, and thought i was there for the rest of it.

Jenas scored a wonderful free kick at OT that day......

Dragged my girlfriend around Luxor for most of one of our 7 days in Egypt to find a bar that was showing the Arsenal v Spurs match. I resorted to getting a horse-drawn carriage in the end, with the command "take me to the Tottenham game..but make haste..for kick-off is in but 20 minutes..."

This was when we still had Mido and Ghaly on the books so Spurs were flavour of the month. Carlos pulled out all the stops and ran us through several red lights to get us to our destination on time. 50p tip well deserved.

We lost 3-0 and I told some local kid who was trying to sell me a carpet to fuck off. Not a happy ending.

Turned down a free flight on Concorde - a day-trip to Egypt to see the Pyramids - to watch Spurs v Liverpool in an FA Cup quarter-final.
We lost 0-1.
Never did fly on Concorde.

to be fair though she is now my wife and regualry comes to the Lane so i like to think it helped us!

That velentines day game at bolton the other year

Mrs me was

How was I to know she was getting the kids looked after for a cheeky little break away for just us 2?
Game was shit. 1pm kick off live on the BBC as well.

Broke down when leaving the Reebok as well. Car conked out and I could still see the stadium in my mirror.

Was worth every minute of it ;) "singing I love Tottenham more than you"

Had a 6 hour round trip to watch the quarter final FA Cup replay at the Lane vs Chelsea in 2007 when I should have been revising for an exam.

Failed the exam and consequently failed that year at uni. Although I did get to see one of the best goals I’ve seen live…even if it was from a Chelsea player.

Took the other half to Prague a few years back for her birthday/valentines day treat.

Landed on the 13th, she says " I didn't know Spurs had a following here" (loads of people wearing Spurs shirts around),
"Ahhh, there's a reason for that" I said as I produced two tickets for the game from my pocket.
" Arsehole" was her reply.
Anyway got to the game, fucking freezing cold, singing my heart out, "You can stick your red roses up your arse" etc completely forgetting who was stood beside me.
Luckily she has a sense of humour. Back on the plane the next day. Blinding trip.
