@whitesocks not sure why the optimistic rating? We have permission to build a 58k stadium.

We also had to prove in court that we can finance it.
The proof was some kind of tentative bridging loan arrangement as I remember, presumably guaranteed by lewis.
It was produced just to satisfy the court that we had some intent to build the thing.

What determines if this really happens is the (large) naming rights deal.
You must be confident that it is in the bag. I'm not.

Why, because some of us actually think we have a decent squad and think we could do well this season?
We could have done with berahino and maybe a dm (although i am happy that dier and alli will get more game time). I am a little disappointed but i am excited for the season. Njie and son will both help take the pressure off of kane.

We have a great very young squad that i really think by the time the stadium opens will be in the champions league. There is no way we can duke it out with the bigger teams in terms of throwing cash around. So we have to do things a bit differently.
No just tone of voice on some responses. I have dealt with a lot of PR and some comments do look like they're direct. You'd also be foolish to think there wouldn't be

Me neither it was just a general thought

Spurs do monitor these boards rob has said as much. Whether they pay anyone to post on here i have no idea. Would it be worth it? Would it actually effect how much people spend on spurs? Wouldn't the message be better got across on the os or in the match programme?
Sounds like a cushdy number though.

Definitely be worth it, be able to lead conversations and effectively argue for THFC decision making. Program and OS seen as one way traffic, you fancy putting your CV in

Unfortunately i don't think a spurs fan could be one, especially one who posts when he's pissed.

Thoughts from a reasonable West brom fan;

As an alternative view, Saido just might have an argument or two in his favour:

He is our best player. In many jobs, the best person gets paid the most. If I looked around the dressing room and saw Lescott, Fletcher etc earning not saw more than me but tens of thousands more than me every week I might be annoyed. They only seem to be paid more because they have played at the top for years. When judged objectively on contribution over the last season (rather than over their time at Utd, City etc), Saido did as much or more and should be paid as much or more. Should he have been behind Brunt, Morrison, etc? Chances are that he earned less than Ideye, Sess or Vic despite contributing more than all of them. If we carried more bricks, stacked more shelves or sold more cars than our work mates, we would be upset if we earned less than them. He would also look at the U21s and see the likes of Harry Kane on £45k per week and wonder why he earns a third of that just because he is at Albion. His league and U21 record is as good as Kane so why earn a third of what Kane earns?

Also, we hear rumours that TP had sanctioned a move for him. Maybe he felt let down; even betrayed.

I know this isn't a popular view. He earns a fantastic salary by the standards of most Albion fans but maybe some will take it as food for thought. Also, money is all relative. If you told someone in Chad or Mozambique that you were quiting your £15k per year job because a fellow worker was earning £25k a year for doing the same job, they would be astonished as £15k is more than many will see in a life time. Whether it is £15k per week or £15k per year, if you feel cheated you feel cheated...

Agree with part of that. But berahino wasn't our only choice. We went for Ings, marshall, and that german kid as well.
I think Martial & Werner were alternatives to Njie not Berahino.

When were linked with Martial, we were also being linked with bringing Berahino as well, same as when were being linked with Werner and we were still linked with Berahino when we signed Njie. It appeared that once Martial was a no-go, all links were dropped and we went for Werner, when that was a no-go, all links disappeared and we went for Njie.

I don't recall us ever linked to bringing in 2 of Werner, Martial or Njie together, though I think we were linked to two at the same time as alternatives.

Njie is also more similar in style to Werner and Martial than Berahino is.
