Ticketless System?

The new ticketing system is going to be hell to start with!

For the Villarreal game my mates ticket didn't scan at the turnstyle (bloke behind the door scanning on a handheld scanner)! After a while it worked. So that started well. Before this we had about 5 people in the small queue we was in who were turned away and told their tickets wouldn't scan in at that gate as they are seated at the other end of the North Lower. This added more time to get in.

People were strolling in late after a bit of trouble getting in.

Add to this for the league matches where people come in and haven't got a ticket so they don't know where they are sitting! They will need to find the bloke with the scanner to get their seat info then told where to go! A few drunk members coming in and no one knowing where they're sitting could be an issue!

Chelsea, Arsenal and Fulham all operate a turnstyle card reader system which involves no bloke with a credit card machine telling you where to go! I take it we've gone for the cheap option with the new stadium apparantly around the corner?

ST holders should know where they sit, everyone else should too. If not they should have printed out an email confirmation which'd tell them too.

That wouldn't really be a ticketless system then... I'm surprised they're not using the Fiorentina game as a practice run, that would reduce the possible teething problems for the Man City game, where people will no doubt be more frustrated by any delays caused by it...

the ticket is an e-ticket, piece of paper which you print off the computer, i'm sure that there will be an instruction telling you what to do, not just thousands of fans bumping into each other whilst wandering aimlessly in circle's around the streets of Tottenham!

You dont even get an e-mail confirmation if you have bought a multiticket package, so what do i bring apart from my membership card?

There are 3 of us coming up for the Man City game and one guy has bought the tickets for all of us. He used 3 membership cards. The ticket i've got was bought for someone else who couldn't use it as he is out of the country. None of the 3 members have had their membership packs yet, and for me, the guy who's membership my ticket will be linked to will be abroad so i might not be able to get his membership card anyway! Not sure what to do really!

Same situation - coming from Ireland on Saturday morning, have been a member for years, no sign of members pack yet.

Will last years members card be accepted if this years card hasn't arrived by weekend?

Have you spoken to the ticket office about it? I'm gonna ring them today cause I'm getting a bit worried about it!

I'm fairly certain that you'll be able to get a printed ticket from the ticket office if you haven't received your membership pack by the time of the match. The ticket office are actually quite helpful in these circumstances in my experience.

^ The online system is shit EVERY morning! It's been shite ever since they got rid of the system where you could pick exactly what seat you want, and seems to somehow get worse every year.

I thought I was being clever by going on at 9.10am, only being in a short queue then logging in at about 9.15am, and just waiting until 9.30am (constantly refreshing to make sure it didn't log me out)... then at exactly 9.30am, an error occured and I couldn't even load the site. Now I'm I'm still near the start of the queue and have been for a good 10 to 15 mins. My dad's told me he's nearer the start of the queue than me though so hopefully he'll manage to get us the tickets...
