Does anyone know what exactly Sherwood's duties and responsibilities are supposed to be? Is he director of football by a different name, or just mainly responsible for young player development?

Does he fall above, below or equal to AVB in the hierarchy?

I believe it's a role that has to be filled due to the EPPP being in place this season. I may be completely wrong on this subject so I apologise but, I think every league club will have the same role.

I hope he is second in charge to AVB and takes care of those bits the Head Coach
doesn't mind being delegated or that Levy is in charge of.
Harry would have been wise to have one when he came under legal, medical and delusional problems
rather than a mate to keep him company on long car journeys.

Don't think his new role has been confirmed yet

Looks like its not technical director but a step up from his previous role as head of youth development

I thought the job he should be promoted to before he did get promoted, was a role that involves him being director of the academy whilst involving himself in the first team and finding avenues for the youth players to find a role for the them or a way to get experience and then them sloting in when the time is right

Yeah...given the insistence by certain ITKs (at least when I was allowed to go there), that Levy would not be appointing a new DOF, I kinda think that it will something like a watered down DOF, but without the type of power to course disharmony with the manager and the scope to become an overmighty subject. I suspect Mr Levy will be retaining some of those powers to himself.
But, as Totoner says, there hasn't been any official confirmation or job description/explanation.

Yeah, that is a lot of what he did.
I don't know whether he will be expanding on this, however, and getting an assistant, or relinquishing it and taking on a whole new set of responsibilities.

Yeah I was confused when writing it but thought fuck it, but on the assistant front I would expect it to be chris ramsey or les, as both les and tim have been impressed by chris ramsey

Yeah, I read an article on Ramsey a few weeks back. Seems well thought of.

Well done Harry for bringing in Tim and others and giving them an opportunity. I'm sure they appreciate it and will not forget it.
