Thanks for echoing the thoughts of the majority here. Excellently put article, one that surmises another big level striker failure at Spurs.

he will end up back at Spain and do a Torres and score tons of goals,
really not working for him here, time to wish him the best of luck and more on,
i really was thinking he was the type of player we needed but just did not do it for some reason.

I'd love to see him prove everyone wrong by coming off the bench to score on Sunday. Sadly it just hasn't worked out for him here and it seems inevitable that he'll leave in the summer.

He will only leave if Levy can recover most of what he cost.....so Mauricio will probably be stuck with the shambles up front for next year as well.

Nobody could say that Spurs fans, and the club for that matter, haven't given him the opportunities to succeed, but sadly it's time to move on. Football has to be ruthless like that sometimes and we simply can't afford to carry him any longer.

I would personally far prefer to see Chadli up front, if god forbid, Kane went down injured.

Soldado will go back to Spain and be great for any team in that league. I was delighted when we signed him but it clearly wasn't meant to be.

Or maybe Levy will cut his losses and sell this summer before he gets too old.
I'm gutted, I was over the moon when we signed him. He was a goal machine in Spain.

Been one of the many that has supported Soldado.
Delighted when he signed.
Clearly a very good footballer but his confidence is completely shot
I think it would be kinder to sell him than play him.
In the meantime give him a few cameo appearances,
you never know he might find some form
though unfortunately I doubt it.

On the contrary, we should play Soldado on Sunday and give him a chance to redeem himself. Chiriches bounced back, so why shouldn't Roberto?

A player who simply cannot cope at this level. He is not the first or the last, to fail in the PL, but he simply has to be sold.

I agree but also think he can cope at this level I think he was just signed at the wrong time, with bale, Lennon, Modric and Vdv he could well have done well instead nothing has gone his way. He never looks like scoring these days he does not scare oppanants teams he can't seem to score tap ins. We need a striker who will bulky opponents has pace and play a lone or with Kane. I really wish things would go his way but it's nearly two years and I just feel for the guy.

I love Soldado. He works hard for the team, he makes goals for Kane and his ball skills are often a delight. I am one of those who have cheered him on from the stand and seen the obvious high regard in which the squad hold him. However, his confidence in front of goal has gone and is not looking like coming back. So, sadly, I now think it best for him and for us that he returns to Spain with our best wishes.
