Listen I like a tackle as well as the next David Pleat but you need to do more than tackle. You need to be able to distribute the ball. Shooting ability would be a useful addition and positional sense helps too.
When aggression is a substitute for skill then it is negative and ultimately pointless.

Parker is not essentially a tough guy, I mean just look at his haircut and his fouls are usually the result of bad timing rather than indiscriminate aggression.
But he quite likes running into brick walls for training purposes and is not afraid to get hurt.
Ya Ya Toure seems to have the full range of abilities, Mascherano is good too though his aggresive tenedencies sometimes are to the detriment of his ability.

Essentially we want controlled aggression for a purpose not for its own sake.
It's a fine line sometimes.

let's drop him, let's compare him to Michael Brown. let's drop our championsleague ambition as well, because the guy's been carrying the team this season. If the rest of the players play like he does, we would be challenging for top spot instead of trying to hold on to 4th spot.

Yes he takes a bit of time on the ball, but that's because he understands the value of retaining possession.
To those who accuses him of lacking a foward pass,
To those who accuse him of not making foward runs, obviously you haven't been watching the game.

guess that result shows how much we need parker, we totally lost the game in midfield. we had no steel, no protection for our defence, no one willing to put in challenges and win the ball.
