Well I admit I thought all talk of the top four earlier in the season was crazy talk, but obviously we are now pretty well placed. This season is mad though with Watford and Palace doing so well and obviously Leicester. I really believe current top three will remain the same so it's up to us to sneak the fourth spot.

The three things that concern me are :

a) lack of squad management and fatigue in the second half of the season
b) failing to get a striker in Jan (even a loan signing) and
c) Man Utd sacking Van Gaal and Mourinho coming in with a shit load of money to spend in Jan.

Perversely, I think we could do with Man Utd not doing too badly over the next few weeks so they keep faith in Van Gaal. Ultimately though, we cannot do anything about that situation so I just hope we do something about points a) and b).

Martin Keown thinks we have a shot at the title! I've always liked him, a man of refinement, good taste, skill and sportsmanship. What a guy.

We are 3 points behind City & on par with them on goal difference. There is absolutely no reason why we can't finish above them. They have got back Silva & Ageuro but are still playing bad. Till Kompany comes back, there is no reprieve for them. Guardiola rumors isn't going to help them as well. More points they drop, more pressure on Pelligrini. 3rd spot is for us to take it.

We have a young team and it's only five points to Pool in 9th place. The league is very competative this year so it seems like there will be more teams than usual fighting for a top four finish. Always a pessimist when it comes to Spurs but if Utd keep Van Gaal our chances increase :)

Being 4th with leicester in front of us could mean we Are actually 3rd now. I'm taking Leicester seriously, but history often repeats itself.

This could mean that its room for both us and united.
Fair chance to achieve things This season!

I look at that Leicester squad and I very much doubt they can get top 4 (in terms of personnel)

Very achievable for us this year. All we have to do is to be more careful after taking the lead in our games for the rest of the season.

It does, but not to the level Leicester are doing it this year.
I agree to a certain extent but worth noting that this time last season West Ham only had 7 points less than Leicester last year

After boxing day Southampton had 32 points as well

Worth noting that this time last year Chelsea had 42 points and Man City 39points. This time last year Leicester would 3rd in the league

Surely we have to get top 4 this year... surely? Could take the sting out of Arsenal possibly winning the title. I know there's a lot of football to be played but.... surely this year?

Well it is literally ours to f@ck up now.. which perhaps doesn't bode well. On the other hand, it seems pretty clear it won't come down to a straight fight with the goons for the top 4, and I fancy us to emerge on top much more when that lot aren't involved in the equation.. as against City for instance.
