I am going to put it out there right now, I think we will win it, just got this feeling in my gut that we are going to do it, we are the most consistent team in this league and goal difference is normally a huge indicator of where a team will finish, it will be between us and City and I see us doing it.

I make it that we have dropped 11 points from winning positions (4 draws and 1 loss), so you are probably right. I checked the rest of the top 5 and Arsenal have dropped 7, Man Utd 4, Man City 3 (to us) and Leicester 7.
We were second only to Newcastle but then Everton joined us on 11points and now bournemouth are top with 14 points.

Its funny we have the best defence, a great goal difference and are in the top 4 at the moment, yet we still have found a way of dropping a lot of points, you would almost say it was

Problem is, we'll be doing well to improve 5% on our budget and constraints.
United, City and Chelsea will all have new managers and will spend £80m+ each.
Liverpool will have had a pre season with Klopp and he'll add.
Arsenal will probably add another high profile player to their first team.

It really is now or never imo. Carpe Diem

No it seriously isn't.

Calm down! We could still finish anywhere from first to 8th.

They forgot to add:
Points won from losing positions - 14 - 1st
I think we are joint 3rd from most points dropped from winning positions, I thought I add some balance

Just to add to this...

We have taken the lead 12 times, winning 7, drawing 4 and losing 1.

We have fallen behind 8 times, winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 2.

We also have 3 x 0-0 draws.

I both agree with this (that the chance is a rare one), but also feel that it's a lot harder to buy success than is generally made out. There is an interesting chapter in Soccernomics about the percentage of transfers that succeed (it's very low). There is a reason why Wenger buys one player per window.

I also think now is fantastic chance but i'd expect us to improve again next year. The age of our squad and Poch's ability to develop young players would suggest that there is still plenty of room for improvement. If we get an alternative to Kane we'll have good options through out the squad. Achieving at least top 4 will allow us to keep all of our players, and having a settled squad could give huge dividends next year, imagine where we would be if we didn't have the slow start to the season (and a better pre-season schedule)!
As these players grow together with Poch they will only improve, I keep hearing people say "Well Chelsea, United, City, Liverpool, Arsenal will just spend money and improve" but if this season has proven anything, spending big money does not guarantee a thing and how many top players are really out there now? I think finding young talent and building is a safer bet than spunking £50M on a player tbh.

At the end of the day its like a wish, it wont come true if you say it out loud

Check out the stats I just posted above. We just need to start killing teams off.

Definitely the best chance we've had in decades or will have for many years to come - a lot of teams will come back stronger next season.

A lot of factors will come into play - I hope we don't get sucked into to taking the Europe League too seriously - the games around the next couple of rounds have fallen kindly for us but they start to get tougher come the quarter finals. Man City doing well in the CL helps us - that's the prize they're most focussed on.

Just have a feeling mate, I am normally pessimistic as well but I think our team spirit will go a long way to seeing us achieve it , title winning teams fight for each other, also in Jan and Toby we have two players who have won multiple titles together.

I won't start thinking about the title until the last ten games. If we're still there or thereabouts at that point, it will start to become more plausible. A couple of back to back defeats in the next few games could see us chasing 4th.

Avoid defeat at City and beat Arsenal at the Lane and I'll really start to believe we have a serious chance of winning the League (and obviously picking up a decent rate of points in between)

Start of March and we'll know how much of chance we'll have I think.

TBH, even after that I won't really start believing. Arsenal have their 2nd leg against Barca after our game and going by previous seasons, they usually do well in that game (after losing to us within a couple of games before) yet still get knocked out and then get their second wind and go on an unbelievable run. Plus, we have a pretty difficult run in April.

Yeah I mean believing in that we have a chance, not believing that we'll do it necessarily - if that makes sense.

Arsenal also have a lot of tough away games but I guess that's balanced out with our tough April. I just think our good defensive record gives me more confidence going into games like Liverpool away etc.

I also think we're starting to look more confident - but the manner in which we won yesterday should give us huge self belief.

Its exciting at the moment but our next two league games should be the focus - win those two and we're set up brillantly for the City game.
