My take on the situation is:-

We have 13 games left!
True but forget all about that and just concentrate on each one as it comes along.
We have Arsenal, Man Utd and City and West Ham, of our contenders for top 4, to play.
WIN all of those and we could be in with a shout for Champions but
LOSE all of those and we should still get top 4.
We have to go to Liverpool which has been a bad place for us to get a result historically but think we could get a good result there this year.
SO as I've always said it's take One game at a time.
We do that and, with Poch and this squad, we'll be well in the mix come the end of the season

I think there's a certain danger to having too few fixtures as well as too many. When the fixtures come thick and fast, yes, teams have less time to prepare, and players are more susceptible to injury and fatigue. But I still wonder how Leicester will cope with the attention leading up to next week's game and then the inactivity of waiting two weeks before their next game. They will have to stay sharp and focused. I have no idea how they'll cope but it'll be interesting and there are no foregone conclusions.

Anyone else miss the comfort of mid table mediocrity? I know its great to be in with a shout of winning the league but after so many years of crapness I kind of miss the safety of a non important spurs game. I HATE how uptight I get not just on match days but for days beforehand! I guess I'm not cut out for this supporter malarkey! :D

Long way to go yet ... :cautious:

Plus in reference to 11 and our 5-2 loss at Arsenal there is no way that Poch would make those basic mistakes at half time!!

I've been crunching some numbers for all the remaining fixtures (in all competitions) for the current Top 5 teams. Taking into account our usual No-Hoper League hangover (and predicting moderate results against the bigger teams), it's hard to see us finishing below 4th, unless we have a complete meltdown.

I wonder whether the management have twigged similarly.

I'm kinda hoping we take our foot off the gas in the Europa from this point in. If top 4 is looking realistically probable, the risks attached to continued participation in the EL far outweigh the one (big) incentive of our first European silverware since 1984, particularly if we're in with a shout for the title (and my maths says we are).

The attention will be massive on them, and they won't be used to it. Kickoff times shunted, world media there, going to be interesting. Long waits between games isn't always ideal, either- I don't remember it helping us back in 05-06 when we had a 40 game season.

Looking at our remaining fixtures
I'm strangely confident. The way we have played this season has been excellent. I don't really fear too many of those fixtures like I would have last season.

Man City on paper is tough, but we have a great chance if we can keep Augero quiet. Other games like Stoke away and Chelsea away,
In the past would be a bit daunting. But Stoke seem to have fallen away a bit recently and Chelsea are not the team of last season. Although I'm sure they will lift their game against us as they are now playing for pride. But still, it's a winnable game the way we have been playing!

But in order to not get carried away, I'm going to try and focus on one game at a time. City is a massive game, I cannot wait for Sunday!!

Reading/listening to the media you would have thought Leicester won the title on Saturday. I'm clinging to the fact that it might go to their heads

I think we'll drop points against City and Arse could also snatch at least a point against the foxes. The best outcome is a draw against City as I dont think we're still good enough to beat them even on our current form. The last game was a bit of a sham with the offsides and I think they're hurt from their battering against the foxes and will come out and possibly turn us over. As I said, we'll drop points against City but the Q is, will it be 2 or 3 pts, thats the concern I have.

How was it that our offside goal/s put them off from finding the back of the net again but their offside goal didn't have that effect on us?

Even with your logic we were still the better, more deserving team on the day

So...are Liverpool still on for the title or?

They are still bemoaning the fact that they some how did not win super Bowl 50
A day of mourning has been called for tomorrow they go again.
The prem title and all other sporting events in between now and may.

Hope that answers your question mate.

That Sunderland win is a great result for us.

Beat City and we'll be 10 points clear of United in 5th.

Title challenge aside, we're now in a really great position to finish in the Top 4. I think that alone would be some achievement given our expectations at the start of the season.

COYS!
