Given the recent ITK and some of what has been said before that (our cb purchase combinations depend upon outgoings), I can see my last post being true.

I also think Son might end up migrating to centre forward and a more suitable winger being purchased instead.

And yes, it looks like that will be close to a nice low net spend, but who knows, maybe leopards can change their spots.

We have had high level itk he’s been working unofficially.

I don’t see why he’d bother being there at every session and match, going to the Q&A and if he now wasn’t joining us.
Was he? I honestly hadn't realised that.
I don't recall seeing him in any pics and don't remember it being mentioned on here.

Alasdair Gold specifically mentioned that he was at the Q&A session with Ange and also mentioned he was at training sessions etc.

I also saw some photos online of him at the open training and some Aussie fans who were at the sessions backed up the fact he was there.

If you do some digging it becomes obvious he was out there.

Fulham are desperate for CB's themselves. Ream injured his shoulder end of last season and not back yet (apparently Palinha played left CB in a pre season friendly) and they were short enough with him. They've just signed Bassey, but he's as cover/succession to Ream on the left side, so they'd need a replacement for Tosin on the right as he shared that role with Diop. Think they are after a Brazilian from Portugal , as Brighton have beaten them to their other target.

Bassey is almost certainly going to be their starting LCB. They’re not spending £19+m on cover for the 35 year old Ream. It’s a really good signing, I think.

Having several relatives that are Fulham fans, it's been amazing to see what a good season Ream has had at his age. Had we tried to sign him 12 months ago they'd have been uproar, as the fee would have been peanuts and it would have looked a terrible signing, but he was very good for them last season. I agree though, they aren't spending that money for a back up, although i do think Ream will still play a fair bit for them.

If you step back, it is somewhat funny that Tosin has become such a focal point of our summer transfer business. He is not a regular starter for Fulham and when he has played he has had mixed performances.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he is a bad signing but very much a 4th choice type of CB with some potential to grow. Players like that are honestly pretty common and with a good scouting network there should be 5-6 equivalent names that we could go out and get done.

I just don't get what all the hold up is...if Fulham don't want to sell move on. It's Tosin not Gvardiol ffs.
