Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, according to a new report from Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio.
Di Marzio claims that Tottenham have an agreement in place with Sevilla for Kounde. The deal would see Tottenham pay €30million (£25.5million) plus Davinson Sanchez.

As soon as I read ''Tottenham are eyeing up Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan if Kounde says no...'' I thought -what a load of tosh!

Never heard of this Kounde fella until a week ago, and have never so much as even seen him kick a ball.

Yet, if the article/info is true, I'm massively in favour.

Didn't we have a defender in the 90s by that name? Went on to be a talksport presenter...

Ahh I remember now: Jason Kounde

Not sure how, its more techical and less physical, two things that Sanchez' skill set opposes
I think you can find about +100 good examples on players who werent technical, but who still have plenty of succes in Spain.

Vice versa less physical players can also have sucess in Premiership.

Right but we're not talking about 100s of player's we're talking about Sanchez, I can probably give you 100s of players who have similar attributes as Sanchez who has flopped in La Liga as well, it's neither here nor there. As far as we know he struggles with the ball at his feet, La Liga is a league which focuses on technical ability and playing out from the back more so than the Premier League, also as far as the physicality is concerned the amount of diving from attackers and leniency from ref's his heavily biased in favour of attackers.

So I don't know how he can translate to being a 'great' player in La Liga if all the evidence points to the contrary?

Don't care let him worry about that, just get rid and get in Kounde. Sounds a good deal to me.

My heart says this transfer will come to pass, but my head says 'never going to happen'.

I hope we're working on a few far more realistic deals than this one. God forbid we faff around over this til the last knockings, come up empty handed and then announce that 'we tried'. We need Tomiyasu and 2 from Lacroix, Milencovic and Andersen IMO if we're losing a couple and I'm not even sure our budget stretches that far. That would be enough though to put us in with a shout of a decent finish next season.

Okay no worries, I'll see if I can hide all the footage the Sevilla scouts got of him. ;)

Don't think this one has any legs anyway, highly doubt that Kounde finds us an attractive option although the £30m Sevilla offered may be a good deal to get done by itself.

Not if we struggle to bring in other CBs because "we're not an attractive option"
