Tottenham have announced a new eight-year shirt sponsorship deal with AIA worth £320million.

The new deal extends their agreement with life insurance group AIA until the end of the 2026-27 season and is thought to worth around £40m annually, in line with Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool’s deals.

Cracking deal made by Levy!
Excellent deal and might well explain the 'bravery' apparently being shown in the market (albeit I do realise that we've only made one big signing so far).

It's a great deal, ok it brings us in line for now, but when they are due to renew they will rise way ahead of us. 8 years is a long time to be tied to 1 deal.

Perhaps the eight-year term helps Levy to secure low interest loans for the stadium. It's a guaranteed £320m income, whereas a four-year deal would only be £160m.

Let’s hope with all the shirt/stadium sponsorship work DL has got time to push hard on transfers

I'm inclined to agree with this.

The level of inflation in all things Premier League is incredible.

Honestly, the most surprising commercial deal this summer was Arsenal somehow getting £300m over 5 years from Adidas!!

How the hell did they manage to pull off that (assuming the numbers are accurate) when we just commited to Nike until 2033 at an average of £30m per annum!?!?

Perhaps, as others have pointed out, Levy is more focused on longer term deals (secure funding) than shorter partnerships with (significantly) larger average earnings. Either way, I just can't fathom that Arsenal-Adidas deal....

There are a huge number of Arsenal shirts sold worldwide.

Remember that these deals are not sponsorships - they are corporate partnerships. There will be all sorts of details written into the contracts and at the end of the day it's all about bottom line. If Adidas can sell a million Arsenal shirts or 500k Spurs shirts they are going to be attracted to a deal with Arsenal.

Maybe Arsenal's £300m deal has been reported as accurately as PSG's sponsorship deals were for the FFP investigation (the investigator apparently chose to accept the value of a sponsorship deal as the £111m reported by PSG, even though an independent auditor assessed it to be valued at £5m!).

these add up...between Nike and AIA deal we are at 70 million per year. Assume the stadium rights deal is roughly double the AIA deal, that's 150 million per year over 15 years (with the shirt deal likely reupped at a higher number after 8). That pretty much takes care of the stadium.

Are we really with Nike until 2033?
