Tottenham are eyeing a late move to sign Lucas Paqueta and the players agent is already in London trying to secure a move for the Lyon playmaker.

Paqueta has developed into one of the most highly-rated attackers in French football since joining Lyon from AC Milan in 2020 and he’s drawn interest from clubs here in the Premier League.

I hope we do it. Got to be better than Dan James, even if it does perhaps not help our HG quota. We desperately need more creativity.

I just don't believe it. He is getting quoted for ridiculous fees, and there is no way he is worth anywhere near 60M. I would be very disappointed if he's the player we end up going for.

I hope West Ham break the bank on this guy, because he will be another Felipe Anderson flop

Can see him being their new Payet. Not so much in terms of style but as a kind of talisman for the fans to get behind.

"Better than Dan James" is an incredibly low bar. There are a whole bunch of mediocre creative players across Europe that are better than Dan James

So, according to Sky, West Ham have reached a verbal agreement for Paqueta. This should be the point where Aulas demands an extra 10m if I'm not mistaken.

And if we were indeed "eyeing" a late move for Paqueta then it would result in a bidding war... or not ? ... Aulas would love that... I don't believe that we are that interested in him.
