There is a chance the Metro COULD write something useful.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino COULD offload three first-teamers in this summer’s transfer window.

The Spurs boss, who signed a new contract yesterday, is set to be handed around £60million to spend ahead of next season, so MAY need to sell before he can spend more.

Tottenham are preparing for an ambitious project to move to a new stadium, which COULD set the club back around £400m.

This means Pochettino MAY have more restrictions in the transfer market, with the DAILY MAIL CLAIMING big names such as Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb and Nacer Chadli LOOK SET to make way.

All three have been on the fringes of the club’s first-team this season, and COULD be replaced in a major overhaul of the Spurs squad ahead of next season.

Click bait.

It's a short article with no quotes and says nothing that hasn't been discussed on SC, speculating who might go this summer. It does claim that Poch has been given £60m to spend this summer though.

EDIT: Bastard @minesadouble you beat me to it! :p

fair point about the lack of veracity of the article..

If it were true though, i would be disappointed if we let Chadli go.

I still feel he can come of the bench and have a go at scoring.

Not sure Bentaleb and Mason make the grade now we moved up a notch.

In Poch we trust....

Similar feels toward Bentaleb and Mason. Can't see Poch letting them go though, even though they're not world beaters, they have a important role in the team, they've been at club for a relatively long period of time and I'd personally be saddened by their departure, they breed the culture of our club. For me they were important to "revolution" that has occurred at WHL. I remember when Mason was making regular first XI appearances, he was probably our only CM that would risk actually passing the ball forward and not square or back. It's these guys that paved the way for Kane under Sherwood, lets not forget that.

Though its a lot of theory & conjecture that is mainly centred around how many minutes they have all had, I can still imagine that these might well be 3 players that we would let go if the price was right.

Any time any of them have played, none of them have given the manager a selection headache; none have made the Poch re-think a future team selection. If they want to be active participants of a championship winning side, then they really need to put in performances that force the manager to consider them.

I think we definitely need to get some degree of experience in the midfield; someone like a Xabi Alonso, or perhaps try & re-sign Carrick on a free-transfer.

Selling Chadli would be ridiculous he's a goal scorer and match winner and perfect squad player.

I'd personally keep hold of Mason Bentaleb Carroll I feel there's more quality left to come.

We need another striker and trust the development squad.

Carrick won't be re-signed by this group of management, now if you were referring to Redknapp, that would be a different story.

You're right 'double0'; we do need another striker, plus (i.m.o.) Spurs squad is a bit lightweight numerically (especially with C.L.games coming up next season); they should be very careful throwing words around like "summer clear-out".

Absolute drivel. There should be a law against made up stories which do not state that there is no foundation behind this poorly researched article:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I wouldn't have a problem with these 3 leaving as long as the 3 coming in are upgrades. Big season next season and we have to finish top 4 again. The squad needs some upgrades.

Wouldn't mind seeing Bentaleb go. Seems to have gone off the boil ever since he signed the new contract, which is not a good sign. The other two are good squad players.

I know they've not been involved much but these are good players with plenty to offer. We can't just assume no one in our first choice eleven will get injured or suspended or just need a break with champions league football. Unless silly money is on offer I'd be tempted to stick with them all, we'll still need back up players if they go.

None should be sold.my opinion is has Tom Carroll had enough chances to show his worth maybe.mason and bentaleb on the bench are good options and in no way should we sell nacer off.just need a striker on the bench!
