A regular starter for the German national team and one of the best CBs in the Bundesliga.

He gets less media attention because he plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, not one of the "big clubs". If he was at Dortmund or Leipzig, the papers would be gossiping about him moving to Bayern or the PL.
